Can't say anyone could condone suicide, if that is ultimately her cause of death. It's all just very sad. But I imagine South Korea is a very competitive place, with lots of bitter, angry kids posting such comments. On one hand, I think Sulli's social circle were not mature enough to be able to give her the emotional support they needed, even if they wanted to. On the other hand, I think all these talent agencies that raise and train these pop idols need to introduce a mental toughness and confidence program. They should be taught how to deal with insults and criticism, as it comes with the territory of being famous. And for all the negative naysayers, it's sad that with the recent suicides of Sulli and Jong-hyun, that these idols could only focus on the small pocket of negativity in their country. Even though they are loved and cherished globally across borders, nationalities, and ethnicities. Article says she made another attempt months ago but she seemed to feel better and relaunch her career since then, however she was also Sulli's friend so what happened to her most definitely didn't help.

I'm also pretty sad about Goo Hara. Her situation surrounding her ex-boyfriend is quite messy and tragic. Such a waste, since she seemed to have such a following. Kara was very popular in Japan, arguably as much as Girls Generation. Goo Hara's resemblance to Namie Amuro is pretty astounding. The K-pop world is pretty small, so a lot of the stars are quite familiar to each other. Sulli alone was said to be close to Goo Hara, IU, and Taeyeon. Kpop trainee agencies, for all their ability to train brilliant singing, dancing, and acting talent, really should consider incorporating self-esteem, personal development, and psychological health into their programs. It's really sad all around, considering the number of haters and critics are miniscule but loud, compared to amount of fans who carry nothing but love, praise, and devotion.

I'm still in disbelief. I always thought he'd continue to offer more of himself, the way Shaq, Barkley, and Magic Johnson have continued to have a public presence. Bloody shame. The fact that he was still fairly young, makes it a bit of a shock for me. Nearly as much as deaths of Prince and Michael Jackson. RIP Kobe.
