Good bye and good night Keiji Fujiwara. He died on the 12th. If you watched Anime in any capacity somewhere since the 90s or played a video game in its Japanese dub, you probably have heard his voice at some point. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keiji_Fujiwara#Filmography

RIP science.
Whatever these days is being presented to us as such by mass media and elected officials is a hollow impostor. Isn't it scary how it took one tiny virus to kill the real one for good?

It's about the current "crisis". Any experts, even ones that bring a lot of experitise and data worth examining to the table, who raise reasonable doubts about the categorization of the virus as more dangerous/lethal than let's say Influenza are either being ignored, slandered or in other ways silenced (YT deleting videos for example). There is no real debate, usually a cornerstone of the scienetific process. And the way official sources interprete their data is oftentimes horrifyingly sloppy and methodologically flawed to the point of deserving to be called unscientific. Like failing to make the simple distinction of dying "with" versus "by" the virus (obductions being discouraged, naturally). Or presenting a "curve" that doesn't take into account people that have already recovered. I mean, what the fuck!? There's also a noticeable lack of effort regarding conducting representative studies or widespread testing. At least that's the case in Germany, but I doubt it is much different in most other countries (except for Sweden maybe, who surprisingly get similar results compared other countries in the region, without resorting to severe lockdown measures).

You probably should post this elsewhere either way.

You might be right about that. It was intended to be gallows humour, but I suppose not everybody may appreciate that. I certainly didn't mean to anger anybody.

Speaking of musicians, a few days ago Kraftwerk's co-founder Florian Schneider passed away too (or "turned off" I guess). He was 73.

RIP Jerry Stiller. I've seen tons of Seinfeld and King of Queens clips make the rounds on twitter the last days. Probably have seen him get more attention on there after passing away than most more well-known celebrities, which is nice to see.
