So, back when LBP was released I was working as a video game reviewer and, like many others, I got the promo version of the game which Sony then recalled because of the whole quran thing. I even got two letters from Sony asking me to return the game ASAP and get the new, quran-free version instead. I completely forgot to return it (actually, I didn't really care) and now I was thinking... Do you think it's worth anything? Putting it on eBay is difficult since it's hard to prove that it is the right version, but whatever...Maybe it's not even that rare? Maybe I'll upset someone by putting it on eBay? Hmm. Well, I thought I'd ask here before doing anything...
Oh, I didn't know about the patch. Kinda makes me wonder why Sony was so desperate to get it back, but yeah... the song is still on the disc so that makes some sense.
Anyway, it seems like selling it at this point is kinda pointless. And I don't blame anyone cause I personally couldn't care less about it. Maybe in 15-20 years time it might be an interesting little curiousity for some crazy collector.
I'll put it in a dark place and forget about it for now.
I also have that Killzone 2 press kit thing which came in a big black box. I remember someone selling it on eBay before Killzone 2 was out which caused some stir back then, but maybe that's not worth anything anymore either. Awww, I'll hold on to it for now.
yeah, maybe down the road? these things are tricky, though.
Like, i wanna get back my original Revenge of Shinobi with all the licensing stuff, right? Rambo, spidey, batman, godzilla etc but nobody wants to play an amazing game to get to level 3 & let me know if there's headbands or not. the only guy on ebay who has verified is charging asshole prices.
ver 1.01 Moonwalker is even more a distant dream; by the time you explain to anyone what you're looking for they're gonna hit ebay with it and some dummy's gonna pay $150 FOR THRILLER VERSION OMG RARE and that'll be that
