It's too bad there was never a collaboration between Osamu Sato and Kenji Eno. They seem like they would have been birds of a feather. I don't think Eno's ego would have allowed much of a collaboration, sadly.

You should have a statue erected in your honor... On the moon!

That's great. But I am sort of wondering, is that moon boss thing still as impossibly fast ? Or was that just a problem on my end ?

I'm pretty sure that's not a matter of button mashing... More like a rhythm thing, like Rhythm'N'Face. Or maybe you need an item that you don't have... That's where I stopped playing the last time. I wanted to wait for a complete translation before continuing.

I wanted to wait for a complete translation before continuing. No I mean the round thing that kinda looks like a frog. He pops up from behind the meteors, but when I played it was so quick that it was impossible. Even doing the "click outside the frame" trick didn't help as I needed to both click it fast enough for the input to register as a hit and it seemed like a crapshoot as to whether or not that would even count. I only ever got him down to like 1 health maybe twice. Kinda the same problem with the blue guy, where a LOT of goddamn pressing was required on the laptop in built mouse keys, and honestly that DOES feel like an emulation issue as I doubt anyone would make it that hard. And as I said the boss fight was impossible for me, which was very surprising given that I took down the other boss literally on my first try.

It definitely is an emulation issue: The game is running too fast because the developers never expected the game to be run on a modern computer that obviously has such an high-clocking CPU when compared to early '90s standards. I remember getting stuck on the frog-thing as well, and I actually had to use a save file I found on 4chan to get past it. I suppose the guy who provided the file either used an emulator that can fake a lower CPU clock rate OR actually used old-school hardware in order to beat that boss. It's definitely possible to beat the blue guy though, I did it. Just click as if your life depended on it - but maybe that's only possible on SheepShaver.

a ppc mac with basilisk will make the speed native, but planning on having a bounty out to adjust the speed. it could be a very easy setting for all i know, also looking out for some bug fixes and other speed fixes with text

Hey, some guy apparently found the Windows 3.1 version of the game! Check that out: warosu.org/vr/thread/1237025That might be a way of getting past those speed issues as well, by the way.

Well, in the thread I've just linked to, it simply states the following:
>have windows 3.1 installed in your dosbox. >duplicate folder. >dump DLL files from japanese Win3.1 into duplicate. >http://vetusware.com/download/Windows%203.1%20Japanese%20Version%203.1%20JA/?id=8809 >can now play the game without speed jumps >good game guys, still want garage.
...but I've never tried to get Windows 3.1 running myself, so I can't really tell for sure if it's as easy as it sounds.

Hey hey hey!! Look what I've just found in a garage sale (Sorry for the quality): pic1 - pic2 - pic3 - pic4I was extremely disappointed when I saw it was an Mac version. I want to sell it, as I can't use it (without an Mac emulator) and I wanted to ask you guys first. The case have some minor scratches on it, the manual have some too but only on the outside and the CD is almost perfectly clean. auctions are open! (if someone is interested) P.S. I'll upload scans of the manual soon. EDIT Sorry if "soon" was practically 1 month later... You know what this is, real life is the Internet Arch Nemesis... Scans: www.sendspace.com/file/x81iyz

All the links are dead, could you please reupload them? Please, upload to services like Mega. Why do you try to make the rare stuff even more rare?
