Yep, and Zun knows how to make a spell card hype. I love his knack for presentation, and he keeps getting better. Shame that he's a stuck-up moron who'd sooner go broke than give his US fans a second glance. I'm pretty sure he's more clueless (and a bit permadrunk) than stuck-up---he seriously did not have much of an idea how many fans he had in the West until he came to AWA, and now we've at least got Double Dealing Character available digitally through Playism. It's a start! Yeah, completely untranslated because he wouldn't let them translate it. Zun's an ass.

I thought that was more because of legal issues surrounding the possibility of an 'official' translation. You seem oddly bitter.

You seem oddly bitter. Because there was no uproar over it, and there should have been. Selling a game without any translation whatsoever should be unacceptable.

Selling a game without any translation whatsoever should be unacceptable. Isn't it kind of redundant to do so when the fans usually end up doing the translation anyways? Besides, it would cost him more money and time to do so. EDIT: Actually, after looking at the extra mile companies like XSEED go to to localize the games they import, I think I see your point.

It's tantamount to them saying 'well it's a shmup, story lol, who cares'. Which is insulting, especially for a series as plot-driven as Touhou. They even went the extra mile to change the game so that existing fan patches wouldn't work.

This is getting off topic big time. But I may as well ask first: Do you actually have any proof that all this stuff is deliberate and anti-english or whatever? Or is it just your assumption. I would like to see evidence if its the former.

I can understand why you're bitter but you're bordering on spreading misinformation, and REALLY shouldn't pass off your antagonism as fact without some hard evidence.
I know the process of bringing Touhou over here has been an unnecessarily messy one but c'mon, you don't need to do this.

Mushihime-sama Futari and Battle Garegga are two of the most highly rated STGs in the genre's community according to www.shmups.com
