This thread is to replace all new Lost games threads. Its purpose is so that we can work together to find lost games/unarchived games. Similar to the Sato/Gargage threads this is meant to be a general. Most games we are looking for are all PC, but anyone can post about any lost/rare/unknown game. List of games we are looking for. ____________________________ - Crayola 3D Castle Maker

Leads: _________ Shareware sites have allot of potential if they are old they often have rare/unknown games. Here's one I found. Send more more info/links if you can and I'll post them here so you all can look over them. See what you can find! 1. www.5star-shareware.com/Windows/Games/2.http://www.dosgamesarchive.com/ MAC GAMES GALORE!! There's a ton of stuff here that's extremely unheard of beyond the mass community. 3.http://macintoshgarden.org/ Zaddas/Labrinythe www.adventurepoint.co.uk/ap-home/4546738569Might have info on Labrynthe and Zaddas, but seems broken. www.ptt.cc/bbs/Old-Games/M.1381703115.A.6DD.htmlwww.gamefaqs.com/saturn/577626-horror-tour/images/box-17939I think Zaddas might of been for Mac as well? I think Horror Tour is the same game. So if anyone has any information on acquiring and sharing these games please tell me. I will update the lists as much as possible. I will try to include linked images from my image shack next time so I can have more photos for everyone. Please feel free to post about stuff you may be looking for or share. Thanks

Wait, I thought this thread was about finding lost games? I'm pretty sure you could find most of these on Adventure Legends, too, so they're not really unknown or lost. Rare, maybe, but that doesn't matter as much on the internet.

Uh? Sato didn't work on four-sight. The game was designed by Junko Kubota, who worked for Synergy Interactive - the same company that published Shono's GADGET. I don't know why they credited Sato for this... Either they have some proofs he did work on it, and I'd really like to see them; or they just assumed it was designed by Sato because it looked weird and slapped his name on it.

I'm not for sure about that stuff. I'm only going by what Mac garden has. I made a new thread specifically about MAVventures and such. This thread has some of the more odd games for it's pastebin. If you guys wanna talk about the Mac ventures I guess we can use that. I just wanted to keep things orderly.

Polaroid pete 2 was shown in an episode of consolevania (I think). Might be worth contacting rab on twitter to ask if he has it, it could be a pal version.
If it wasn't consolevania then maybe it was one thumbandits or bits on channel 4.

I own a copy of this game. I don't think I can run it anymore, though. What kind of info do you need?

[/quote] I'm posting at a public terminal now so I'm not going to look too deeply into that atm I will later. Thanks though man! This is awesome. It used to be really hard to find such things due to the fact the Japanese PC market was so different from the American one! If those fellows can help me find other JP only pc games Awesome! The ones I'm mainly interest in learning about are more of the liscensed games. Like Gundam/Macross/Gatchaman and a few others. There are allot of cool games for PC-98 not many people in america know about. I hope we can look further into this together! Thanks! I looked into the tokugawa stuff from the history of Japanese PC games Article! Wow I am surprised I never noticed that. I hope one of the members compield all the box art stuff and more onto a terrabite HDD. Stuff worries me. Thanks for sharign such a awesome thing. I feel so SLOWPOKe.jpg.

On the topic of PC98- www.retroprograms.com/PC98/PC98_List.htmlThis is a really nice site with tons of cool PC98 utilities. It has plenty of games up for download, can tell you how to install/make .hdi files, and is a great place to start if you're interested in playing some old and forgotten stuff. Some of the stuff in the "curiosities" section are particularly interesting. (EDIT! You can find hard to find doujin games from the Vector section. Since the Vector site is down, I think this is the only way to play the original PC98 version of Storm Caliber.) If you're looking for doujin stuff on the PC98, it might be a bit trickier. I guess this blog post might help. blog.hardcoregaming101.net/2012/05/lost-doujin-games-nsfw.html , but the main thing to look for in there is the link to cug. www.cug.net/~anonB/dj/djview.cgi?0823#umino I spent hours reading through this thing discovering all sorts of lost doujin games on the PC98 and PC88. It should help with discovering lost stuff too. Also, would you consider FM-7 to be lost as well? I don't think it's as documented as PC98 or PC88, but there are some cool FM7 sites. The system originally interested my from this article, the one about meeting Napoleon and Jesus in Hell www.hardcoregaming101.net/jigokunorenshuu/jigokunorenshuu.htm so I ended up getting curious and tracked down this nice site. fm-7.com/It's in Japanese, but Google Translate or whatever other translator you use should make it readable. Oh! FM7 is a great site, though. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to read about some other really obscure stuff that is for the most part, lost to the English speaking world. I hope this helped! Good luck on discovering lost games, everyone.

The developers who made that game, Jigoku no Renshuu Mondai, also made a text adventure called Recapture. It's something of a "lost" title because it was only developed for the FM-7, where most other games also made it to the PC88 and other platforms. I only know a little about it, but it's about a company who develops a male birth control drug, but it's stolen by a rival corporation so you need to break in and steal it. It's supposed to be really funny in the same way as their other games. Unfortunately I can't find a disk image, and what little I can dig up on Japanese sites indicate that it has problems running beyond a certain point in emulators. Physical copies of the game are very rare and expensive. bucketbrigadec.blogspot.com/2013/08/blog-post_25.html
