There's more information about Labyrinthe (Horror Tour 3) on Caravan's official site: web.archive.org/web/19980117051658/http://caravanserai.com/horror3.htmlAlso, I recently picked up a Japanese Windows 95 game called "Popol Maya" which has Eastern Mind levels of philosophical goodness. Basically you walk around and talk to mutated animals, hoping that whatever command you type in will affect them and earn you a key to the universe. The game runs well in compatibility mode, but don't use a VM since mouse clicks barely register. And if you want to play it in English, run "setup.exe" from the game's files; the autorun installs the Japanese version by default. I uploaded the game and all inserts (including a massive poster) here: mega.nz/#F!F8IGyRxR!D4Js9_vY_Iekc068A66-xA (There's also a fanmade utility in the folder that lets you manage saved games) Oh, and here's a small gameplay video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBhhXJH1KhsThe developers of Popol Maya apparently had another game in the works around 1997, Space Matador, which may have been cancelled early on. More information, including small pictures, is on their site web.archive.org/web/19970710212253/http://www.sdw.com/hot.html (scroll to the bottom)

Hey guys, do any of you know any info on No Reality? I don't know much about it myself, but apparently it's very hard to find.

Sorry to everybody for bumping this thread but i and other people have come foward in regards to unreleased stuff for the Atari Jaguar. One of these days i'll post some of the titles for the system that were being worked on before Atari killed the system but i'll only post those that are 100% verifyed I know this thread is more geared towards Japanese-developed games but i think you'll like what i'll post

Sorry if this has been asked already, but does anyone have any video footage of or information on "Ancient Ys Vanished: The Truth -Adventures of Dogi-"? It was a pre-smartphone third-party cell phone spin-off of... I think Ys I & II? Though it might have been either Ys I OR Ys II. I think it was developed by Taito, but I'm not even sure! I've been curious about it for a long time, as it's kind of a forgotten Ys spin-off, and I'm really curious how it altered the story to make it all about Dogi... because, quite frankly, that sounds awesome. -Tom

wyrdwad maybe if you had the title in Japanese you could find more info? Because right now I can't find anything about this game except it was possibly released in 2005 by Taito... KGRAMR Awesome, I'm looking forward for you next post! oh and btw... This thread is about rare/lost games in general, it's just that Japanese exclusive games are often rare ;P

The Virtual Boy has you covered BTW, here's a little unknown game that surfaced at VGDensetsu's Twitter account last year. It's called Zodiac for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive and was co-developed by two masterminds behind Starush on Amiga, one of them being Frederic Houde of Rayman fame This is the only known screenshot for now thanks to this interview by Adrian at Arcade Attack. Did i forget to mention that only 2 folks worked on Zodiac?

Here's some of the lost Atari Jaguar games that have been found and/or their whereabouts are more or less concrete: - Asteroids (a.k.a. Asteroids by iThink or Asteroids 2000 as it was showcased at the EJagFest 2000 by Richard Turner): I released the .ABS file of the game last year thanks to Lars Hieronymus, who kept it on his computer for almost 17 years on one of the Jaguar-dedicated groups. It was not meant to be a title in the 2000 series of games by Atari, according to the programmer Ryan Porter...
- Gotcha!: Imagine something like The Outfoxies but more arcady for up to 4 players. Jonathan Court, who worked on the awesome Jag conversión of Cannon Fodder still has the source code + a build of the game: www.facebook.com/groups/jaguarfans/permalink/1164795876944861/ - Jaguar Bomberman: I'm keeping my eye on this one ever since it was discovered on one of the programmer's garage. It has been dumped but not released online but i managed to see a picture of the game running by one of his creators and it's legit! That's all i can say (and i can't share that picutre as i would get into a serious issue with him!) but enjoy this piece of the game's offical art by Jeff Burke
- Green-Thang: Something akin to B.O.B. on the SNES & Genesis. It was made by the same team who did Baldies. This is one of the 4 unreleased Jag titles David Wightman showed to the public in a interview done with him. I'm waiting for him to see if he somehow manages to dig something from his old computer...
- Livewire: Now, this technical tour-de-force rest in the hands of one of the developers from Black Scorpion Software, Douglas Little. No .ROM has been released as of date but i hope he changes his mind someday www.leonik.net/dml/sec_lw.py
- Phear: Without a doubt the most sougt-after unreleased game for the system, as anybody who played the N64 knows what this game later became known as If the gameplay style of Phear on the Jaguar looks damn near familiar to any Tetrisphere player out there is because it's basically Tower but with a different rule set than on the N64 There's good news about it. According to BattleSphere programmer Scott Le Grand, there are flash carts containing the beta. The bad news? Those who are the owners will have to step foward on their own and either dump it online or not...
- Conan (a.k.a. Conan The Barbarian/Konan): Now this beautiful beat 'em up by the makers of Legend on the SNES never moved foward other than this demo, however, Dan McNamee of Atari playetested this game at the company, which means that there's maybe a surviving flash cart out there in the hands of somebody! www.arcadeattack.co.uk/dan-mcnamee/
- Zzyorxx II: The alpha is now out thanks to the people involved with the release of the build...except that there's one more undiscovered build. That one being the build shown at the German magazine Mega Fun in 1995: Zzyorxx II and Burnout Preview Released
- Aero The Acro-Bat: All that it's known about this one is that it was in the works. Now, does a prototype exists? Nobody knows except those who worked on the conversion. Earthworm Jim on Jaguar:question was asked, answer was given :-)
- Tinhead: A somewhat underrated platformer on the Genesis. The Jaguar version was more or less a conversion of the Genesis/Mega Drive version. Nick Court, who was one of the responsable for the Jag conversion of Cannon Fodder as well, said that he knows the person who has a prototype of the conversion but he was reluctant to say his name (and don't even try to insist him about it!). All we can do is wait until that person comes foward and dumps the prototype online. Here's the post where one of the guys who worked on the conversion told about its existance: how hard is it to make jag games???
This is all for now in regards to the lost games of the Jaguar. In another post i'll talk about some of the unreleased Virtual Boy games and their whereabouts Now, you can take this info with a grain of salt, all i'm doing is posting said information.

As i promised, here's some of the unreleased/lost games of the Virtual Boy (that is, until they appear again someday...): - Invincible Iron Man! Gagaga-In: A recently discovered title thanks to @rurabow_new (who was a Hudson Soft employee) at twitter early this year. This was apparently going to be 2D fighter developed by Raizing/8ing. Rurabow has the .ROM but unfortunately, due to legal issues, she can't release it online unless one of the devs. involved with the Project back in the day says yes in order to do so...
- Doraemon: Nobita and the Throbbing Obake Land!: Not much its known about it, other than the fact that it's based on Doraemon: World of Fairies manga and that its developer was Epoch...
- Dragon Hopper: Right now, this is the most sought-after unreleased VB game title by the community, alongside Zero Racers. Developed by Intelligent Systems, its a action-adventure game kinda similar to Zelda. This fan-made video makes a better explanation as to how the game would've played. A prototype resides in the hands of a collector. Benjamin Stevens, a long-time contributor at Planet Virtual Boy, knows this person better than i do...
- Zero Racers: The second most sough-after unreleased VB game after Dragon Hopper, this differs from every other entry in the F-Zero series, as you drive in a 3D track. Here's another good fan interpretation as to how the game would've looked in action...
- 007 GoldenEye: This differs greatly from the GB and N64 incarnations of the game, as this was more of a action driving game. Like the N64 entry, Rare was the one behind this...
- Out of the Deathmount: All that's know is that J-Wing was developing this one and looks like it would've been a rail shooter...
- Shin Nihon Pro Wrestling Gekitou Densetsu: A wrestling game developed by Tomy. Supposedly, very few copies made it out of the door but that's extremely unlikely...
- Sora Tobu Henry: Developed by Human Entertainment of Clock Tower fame, this one was a platformer kinda similar to Virtual Boy: Wario Land...
- Virtual Bomberman: This one also hurts me as a huge Bomberman fan. Many of its elements were later repurposed for Bomberman World on PS1...
- Virtual Block: This one looks very similar to Breakout 2000 on the Atari Jaguar, due to the camera perspective. Bottom Up was developing this one...
- Virtual Double Yakuman: Essencially a Mahjong game by Vap, Inc., this would've been released after the GB and SFC entries by the same company...
- Virtual Gunman: This would've been another rail shooter by Victor...
- Virtual Jockey: A horse-racing game by Right Stuff with art by the same guy who did artwork for Adventure Island's cover arts...
This is all for the unreleased Virtual Boy stuff. In another post i'll talk about the ones that hurts me a lot and those are about the Neo Geo...

Hey guys, apparently there's been news that several lost Japanese games were found in a supposed-to-be-private collection and have been copied out/leaked to the public. This includes Horror Tour 3, Synergy's Yellow Brick Road, and possibly more, as I've only just recently become aware of this.
The person who owned the collection apparently didn't want these games being uploaded elsewhere, so it's kind of a pseudo-shady thing, but ... it's pretty big news regardless.

Since I know the resons that prevented this collector from sharing these games, this leakage is one of the greates failures of a preservation community.

We need some leaks like that for long lost korean games LOL (some of them are in my most wanted list). Great failure it might be but rule #1 of world wide web says: NEVER upload something you don't want to share, even if it is into a private directory (for power users) in a private forum :-P We would have probably never seen at least 5-10 of those 70+ lost games, which is not entirely true because a good percentage of them were already floating around in some abandonware forums
