I just wanted to rip the soundtrack from the PCE CD version of Kunio Soccer, though the only audio track my laptop is able to detect is the "This is PCE Game bla bla bla" track. Is the music somehow encoded differently and is there a way to get around this problem? PCE CDs have their tracks ordered in a very strange way. Where most game discs, like Playstation and Sega CD, have the data track on track 01, the PCE instead uses track 01 as the warning message, then the data track on track 02, then tracks 03 and onward are music. I seem to recall the very last track on the disc also has some data on it, but I might be remembering incorrectly (or perhaps read a bad guide, back in the day when I tried burning a Dracula X disc).

Yeah, I just noticed it after I tried to play it over our HiFi. I'm gonna try the tool Discoalucard mentioned. Let's hope this will do it

For some reason I haven't paid any attention to this HG101 feature before, until now. Great idea and I like the execution. I do have some things to point out, though: www.hardcoregaming101.net/pcemcdmusic/pcemcdmusic1.htmYou have "First Step Towards Wars" as "First Steps Towards War" in the description for Ys I-II (notice the two differences). Also "To Make an End to Battle" should be "To Make the End of Battle", unless you want to go with more Atlus USA spelling. www.hardcoregaming101.net/pcemcdmusic/pcemcdmusic5.htmUnless you specifically wanted to use the TGCD English name "Tigre Mine" in the description for Ys III, the latest English name would be "Tigray Quarry". Also, "Ys: Oath in Felgnana" should be "Ys: The Oath in Felghana". www.hardcoregaming101.net/pcemcdmusic/pcemcdmusic15.htm"To Make An End to Battle" makes a return here, but with irregular capitalization. www.hardcoregaming101.net/pcemcdmusic/pcemcdmusic14.htm"Legend of Heroes VI: Dragon Slayer" should be "Dragon Slayer VI: The Legend of Heroes", though I don't think that Falcom themselves really used the number in the title (it's usually spelled as "Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes").

Latest update features Batman Returns (more Spencer Nilsen), Chuck Rock (someone had fun making up track names for this in the iTunes database) and Emerald Dragon.

When you say some early PS1 games that have the same style of redbook music could be included, does something like Rayman qualify?

I'm not familiar enough with Rayman's soundtrack to say.

I always liked PC Engine's Super Raiden music arrangements, but the one from the last stage (2 being exclusive to the system of course) is probably the best from all the classic Raiden games! A jewel of a track !!
