There's obviously a lot of people with agendas involved so who knows what's actually true about it, but that whole Star Citizen mismanagement thing is funny. I mean it'd be great if the game actually materializes but shit...

Apparently the Muv-Luv series of visual novels is very highly regarded, though I don't know much about the games myself. The Kickstarter to localize them is doing really well, though, well enough that they're now offering physical Vita copies. I was on the fence before, but "localized VNs + Vita" is like an insta-buy for me, haha. They say that physical Vita copies will be available later, but priced higher than the $80 for two games (technically three, since one is a combo of two games) they're offering with the Kickstarter. I'm just gonna wait and see how many more stretch goals are hit to see if I'd splurge for the $150 set, but I'm pretty set on backing.

Lab Zero (the creators of Skullgirls) is making an action RPG called Indivisible, and it looks fucking awesome. Check it out. igg.me/at/indivisibleRPG/xSadly money is a bit tight on my end at the moment, but I'll be throwing down $60 before the month is over with.

Once, in ancient times, there was a fighting game based off of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Then Hasbro noticed. Then, there was no longer a fighting game based off of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. But good news! The game, which actually looked pretty well done for a fighting game based off of My Little Pony, hasn't completely died out. Now, it's Them's Fightin' Herds, a new fighter set in a new universe that will not only be C&D-free, but will also hopefully keep most of the more unsavory sorts from getting involved. And we will leave it at that. There's brand new character designs by Lauren Faust, all of which look pretty spiffy. It'll also use the Skullgirls engine, which means all sorts of good things, most notably GGPO netplay. That's the good stuff. While the inspiration is still pretty clear, I'm pretty big on these faster, more combo-heavy sorts of fighters, so I'll be keeping an eye on this one. It's been funded!

Vita is a perfect fit for these games and I sprung for the CE. Cause I am a sucker. Really nice to see all the support Kickstarter has brought Vn's. Muv Luv looks to be the highest grossing VN Kickstarter yet. Funny story. Didn't think there was an anime for Muv Luv but turns out there is (Total Eclipse) and it was already in my Crunchyroll queue. Apparently it is a spin-off/side story/set in the future or something. Pretty sure I queued it when looking up mecha shows.

While browsing Greenlight in search of something looking at least decent I stumbled in this Doko Roko. Nothing really new or revolutionary but isn't that pixel art pretty. I first thought it was a bit of nostalgia that attracted me more towards this 2D projects but lately I noticed that they often are the ones that offer more concrete footage and are generally better to look at, rather than the often cheap visuals that result from 3D projects. There is also a sequel to Dusty Revenge but I'm not holding my breath for this one, even if the backgrounds look gorgeous. The first game has been a sore disappoinment - pretty in stills but stiff in motion, increasingly frustrating combat and terrible platforming - I hope this one will improve.

A week left for the next Battletech PC game. Working towards the multi-player PVP stretch goal.

What does this have to do with gaming? Remember in which subforum this thread is located.

Sorry about that. Didn't see any other Crowdfunding thread.

Sorry about that. Didn't see any other Crowdfunding thread. It doesn't necessarily have to go into a Crowdfunding thread. Remember, we've also got the Randomness thread in Off-Topic.

They'll probably try and give it an extra push during the next days but with 8 left it has reached less than half the funding goal. On the other hand, I'm glad to learn that a Kickstarter for The Journey Down Chapter 3 has been successful. It'll probably take another year at least to see it but given the quality of Chapter 2, I can wait.

Yeah...'S gonna be pretty disappointing my first time supporting a kickstarter, and it fails horribly. Granted 1.5 mil is a lot to ask for, but I was actually looking forward to this. Really thought it might stand a chance coming from these guys. Hell SkullGirls is getting ANOTHER game now. *Sigh* ah well... time to find out how refunding works. XD
