Weasel, thanks. I thought to mention it on Shameless Self-Promotion Thread only first, but since there is a Crowdfunding thread, I thought it would be normal. Anyway I'm not here to promote my game (or not anymore I should say, cause I need to start everything from scratch again (which is good, really)). So... no more self-promotion from me . Starting from scratch? But you still plan to make it and get it to be funded, right? Anyway, the only time I backed a video game Kickstarter was to the developers of La-Mulana 2. However, while they said the complete game would have been available in December 2015, as of now it still isn't out of the alpha stage, or maybe very early beta at best. As you can see even if somewhat big names like the La-Mulana devs can't make their projects in time, I've become somewhat wary of backing something on the net. Maybe when it will be finished I won't care about it any more.

Yes. As was agreed the Italian team left the project after the unsuccessful KS campaign. Now I'll be working with a small team from Japan it seems - even though I have already decided to finish it "solo", trying to form my "dream-team" one last time might still work somehow. But no more crowd-funding experiments - since several publishers were interested in working with us, I believe there might be more simple ways to get the funds. I hope so too. If La Mulana was so good, I can only imagine how good the sequel can be. I'm still waiting for Hyper Light Drifter and Chasm to be released. And it seems very soon we'll have HLD, yay!

I liked the gamebook previously released by the same company, but this is a very odd turn for them. Good writing quality for their other games, no idea about this one.

So...a Western ripoff of Kantai Collection basically?
Personally, I find the concept (of both) pretty tasteless and offensive. Like, yeah, let's portray the Imperial Japanese Army and Nazis as cute anime girls, great idea. Never mind the atrocities that were committed with the real-life warships.

Yooka-Laylee continues to look pretty sweet. Too bad about the delay, but when it comes to games that get Kickstarted, you generally want all the time to polish and improve that you can get.

Crowfall publisher for Europe, Brasil, North Africa and Middle East will be Travian Games (Euro & Russian folks might remember that FTP browser MMO). Not exactly a kind of publisher I'd expect for "hardcore" BTP PC title, thou it starts making sense after some digestion.

Spy DNA a tactical turn-based espionage RPG. Very little chance of reaching their rather high funding goal, but I backed because I really like the concept. I'm hoping they do a second attempt with a more realistic goal (they really shouldn't have something like mo-cap animation in the base funding goal).

Isn't motion capture very very very expensive and not important?

The team responsible for Xydonia gave these guys a shout-out today:
Andromeda, a Metroid-like platformer with occasional detours into scrolling shmup territory. They only have 3 days left and might not meet their goal in time unless we push hard. They also have a playable demo available, so you can test it out and be confident in your pledge.

Hetalia: Axis Powers was also based on WWII but I haven't seen anyone complaining about it.
