Yeah, you should always take the aspirin in the bathroom cabinet, then follow it up with a shower. Not sure if you die if you don't do either, but it stops the annoying "my head is killing me!" message.

For those of you who don't happen to have a copy of this month's game, here is a copy of the DOS CD version.

Some general tips for the first day: - Always start every day off by going to the medicine cabinet in the bathroom first. Afterwards, take a shower. This will stop the splitting headache.
- The first day is spent setting things in motion and collecting items you will need for the next two days.
- One of the first items you should get is the watch. It can be found behind the blue trunk in the attic. Push it once to get it out of the way, then pick up the watch behind it. Push the trunk again so you can access the balcony.
- There are only two timed events on this day: a delivery man visits the house at about 10:30 AM, and the phone rings at about 2 PM.
- Don't stress too much on the first day, as the timing is pretty lax. Just be sure to check out the entire house, as well as the town to the east.
Sometime this weekend I'll stream the first day of Dark Seed! I haven't settled on a time yet, so I'll post in the thread when I have. :)

For those interested in trying out the Amiga CD32 version, for comparing or if you want to hear out the Amiga version music, here's a download link for it. It includes the cd iso as well as the kickstarter bios you need. Works well on Winuae, altough I had to move the Compatibility vs Required CPU Power slider to best compatibility. And since the CD32 dont seem to have mouse compatibility dont forget to fiddle with the controller options.

Tonight, at around 8:30 PM EST, I will be streaming the first day of Dark Seed! If time permits, I may even try and beat the entire game with aid from the viewers and stream hosts. The stream can be watched here!

Something interesting I discovered while doing research on Dark Seed after streaming it tonight is that there was apparently a non-interactive trailer "demo":

"exciting real-time animations"
As opposed to what? Boring, Fake Animations?

"exciting real-time animations" As opposed to what? Boring, Fake Animations? This is kind of random, but is it possible to rip the sprites from the game? Mike Dawson would be an awesome MUGEN fighter.

Mike Dawson would be an awesome MUGEN fighter. It's probably all custom engine stuff, it might be possible to load it into something - possibly the Amiga version would be your best bet? Other than doing it manually which is probably the only way it'll actually work. Record it on OBS or something then painstakingly key out the background :V

What gets me is that half of the gameplay in that trailer is Mike Dawson dying. Granted, you will die a lot if you play this game without a walkthrough, but it's almost as if they wanted to downplay the mundane adventure elements in favor of making it seem more action packed.
Also took me forever to find the animation in that trailer where the ancient kills Dawson with its tongue: apparently if you touch an ancient at any point in the Dark World, you unceremoniously die.

Wow, I had absolutely no idea you could trigger this. I thought they just remained dormant, but I only ever looked at the Ancients in the Dark Mausoleum without touching them. And it's actually pretty creepy too!

Apparently the Ghost Dawson glitch is really easy to do: just send the spaceship off without powering up the hammer to smash the mirror, and as soon as the game restarts, Mike is curiously missing from his bed! Going to see if I can record some footage from DOSBox to upload.
