This game's story mentions this Styron/Sauron guy who runs Motorhead, but I'm guessing he never appears even in the manuals?

The flickering intro and title screen of this game is just bizzare. I thought at first it was an emulator or ROM problem. Super irritating.

It's meant to imitate old film projectors, which I think is a nice touch actually.

It's also less offensive to the eyes on an old TV.

I wish. Playing it on mine prompted me to do the tests in the first place. My eyes remain offended .

Yeah, this game does some nice (although not impressive) things with the Genesis hardware and sloppy old CRTs - you'll never truly experience this game's atmosphere unless you play it in real hardware in a real '90s TV. It's what made me dig out 320 bucks for a Model I Mega Drive, even (besides it being my favorite console of all time)!
