I voted for PSX/N64 collectathons, even faced with the risk that the game ends up being Donkey Kong 64.

Hmm... all right, let's see what we've got on the docket this month. It's been a while since I've been around for things, so --
Collectathons.
Collectathons.
This is my calling. This is who I am.

I voted for PSX/N64 collectathons, too! There's a lot of them out there, so we could end up with something outside of Rareware's typical N64 fare.

I'm in for B, especially since I already own quite a few of the popular ones - making this one I could play out on real hardware!

Does this mean it'll be more than one game?
Another vote for collectathons here. I'm actually not too crazy about the concept when they take it way too far (see: N64-era Rare), but I don't mind the level of collecting stuff in games like the Donkey Kong Country series and Super Mario 64. Here's to hoping the game chosen won't be something I've already beaten and don't care to do again. And hopefully something I already own.

Odds are good it will be one game that is chosen based on the theme.

I was gonna go for Sports RPGs (Mario Golf GBC is awesome, 'nuff said,) but my true passion lies in a good Expatriate Sequel, so I voted for that.
Does that include games from countries that only saw release and not necessarily fame in other countries as well? (e.g. Rendering Ranger R2)

I went with Sports RPGs. I've already played too many collectathons recently.

I'm curious about the details for Expatriate Sequels too. Could that also include, say, the StarTropics series where both the sequel and the first game weren't released in Japan, even though that's where they were developed?

Expatriate sequels here. I really want to see that non-USA released Parappa 2. And my avatar change has absolutely nothing to do with that.
(Note for the visual impaired, it's a picture of Eminem made up to look like Parappa.)

While Sports RPGs could be interesting, my vote's for N64/PSX Collectathons.

for the Sports RPGs... are you talking about games that specifically play like RPGs, with a sport theme (I'm thinking of the bizarro PCE-CD game "Nekketsu Legend Baseball" -- which has the most insane opening movie of any PCE-CD game IMO).... OR... things along the line of the "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater" series (the first 4 entries, in particular) where virtually "playing" whatever sport is the core gameplay mode, but with items / stats / etc to collect, and what essentially amounts to "grinding" to level up? )
Either / or?
I was a HUGE fan of the early THPS games as a teenager, so if that's what you mean by that -- that's where my personal vote goes.
