Sorcerian - same reason like at page 1
Devil May Cry Shin Megami Tensei Days of Memories December When There Is No Angel - those four (surely more), because they have a beautiful melancholic sound in their titles
Touch my katamari Tongue of the Fatman Attack of the Mutant Camels Princess Tomato in Salad Kingdom Eggs of Steel: Charlie's Eggcellent Adventure - Their names are really weird, but because of that I adore the titles
Castlevania Langrisser Growlanser Elthlead and some others, which should be mentioned - because they are unique, not just -Shadow/Warriors/Legend/Chronicles of (insert name) like tons of games or something with -tion/ia ending, I appreciate it.
langrisser V the end of legend - because it was really the end, I respect them and the honesty of the title, because they had the guts to end a series.
Knights of the Old republic - cannot really explain it, I just really like the title
Another Bible - It thought it is funny, they made some games with the name Last Bible, now they thought, "hm, we have to do another bible game, AHHH, Another Bible, that is it". I would totally believe it.^^
Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey - I am sure that I am overanalyzing, but Japan is kinda known for xenophobia. I thought Atlus is mocking with the title. This is the only game without a Japan setting, thus they named it Strange Journey, because every SMT game is actually a strange journey. Some titles are really an afterthought or genius. It is hard to see the difference.
Dinosaur - another bullshit title from Falcom, You would think that you would fight against Dinosaurs, no, it is just a person with the name dinosaur, I don't know, if that was smart or not. The same thing can be applied to some Ys subtitles, "Monarch Monarch" and the game Zwei.
htoL#NiQ - points to uniqueness
Bushi Seiryūden Deae Tonosama Appare Ichiban - mostly, because of the sound, when you are spelling them.
of course, more titles, which I can't remember for the moment
Yours sincerely

Oh, hey, I forgot all about this topic! Since the last time I posted in here, there have been a few other games released that have names I consider to be really clever or interesting. Without a doubt, though, my favorite of the bunch is "VA-11 Hall-A." It's almost borderline pretentious, but the fact is, it's MEMORABLE -- it's taking a room number, and making the word "Valhalla" out of it, which is pretty frigging badass. Reminds me of when radio stations pick identifiers that spell out words, or when businesses get custom 1-800 or 1-900 phone numbers that spell out words. It's just a cool idea, and really makes the game (which I haven't played at this point) come across as something kind of hip and trendy -- which is pretty much perfect for a cyberpunk bartending simulator! Another recent game that I *have* played which I feel has a really badass name is "Alwa's Awakening." There's not really anything particularly deep about it, but it just sounds really, really cool to me! I've also been playing a lot of MSX games since the last time I posted in here, and there are a few on that platform that have names which really stood out to me. I picked up two homebrew games recently, both of which I discovered simply because they had names that caught my attention: "La Corona Encantada," and "Zero and the Castle of Infinite Sadness." The former is a really simple title (just "The Enchanted Crown" in Spanish), but it somehow sounds SO MUCH COOLER in Spanish than it does in English. And the latter is just... one of those titles you read, and you're kind of forced to do a double-take upon seeing it. It's not a mindblowing game or anything -- just a maze game with some flashy graphics (albeit a pretty fun maze game, and those graphics really are quite stylish!) -- but I don't regret buying it, simply because I can now tell people I own "Zero and the Castle of Infinite Sadness." Heh. There are also two MSX games I don't own, but really, really love the names of: - A Life M36 Planet: Motherbrain Has Been Aliving This is simply the most Engrishy title in the world, and I adore it for its absolute stupidness. This is currently my MSX holy grail -- it's a ludicrously rare game that I'm determined to one day track down, as it looks like a pretty decent Metroidvania (bet you'd NEVER GUESS THAT from the title!), and also, it's called A LIFE M36 PLANET: MOTHERBRAIN HAS BEEN ALIVING. How can I *not* seek to own something so majestic?! - Mr. Do vs. Unicorns I don't actually plan to track this one down, as it really doesn't look like that great a game. But... it's called "Mr. Do vs. Unicorns"! It's just one of those game names that leaves you with so many more questions than answers, and I love things like that. Heheh. -Tom

Demon's Blazeon. Thought it was a bit unnecessary to localize the name to Demon's Crest.
Langrisser is a cool name.
Dracula X: Rondo of Blood
Ys. So simple. Of course, for the longest time I thought it was pronounced "wise," instead of "eesu."
Bahamut Lagoon.
Metal Gear. That's it. Just plain Metal Gear.
Mystic Arc. As if set a few millenia before the town of Mystic would be known for its pizza parlor.
Leisure Suit Larry. Leisure suits need to make a fashion come back.

Xenogears, Xenosaga, and Xenoblade? All cool titles. Xeno- is a cool-sounding prefix. Oh, good call. I especially like the Xenosaga names because of the subtitles -- again, borderline pretentious, but when you see a game called "Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille Zur Macht," the fact is, you stop and take notice! -Tom

1-- Silent Debuggers (TG-16/PC Engine)....it sounds like its an epic espionage game about sneaky hackers who steal critical information while dodging and/or killing government agents! But in reality, it's a barely passable FPS game with errr, a giant blob or two to kill while you 'debug computers'....silently. Yawn. Still, name IS cool!
2-- Twisted Metal. (PS1 and others) Pefect name for a car combat game whose goal is to mutilate your opponents as much as possible...while running over pedestrians and destroying historical landmarks! Twisted indeed!
3--Lunar the Silver Star and Lunar Eternal Blue (Sega CD, PS1). I dunno. To me, it sounds like "Lunar" should be some sort of rocker chick on stage blaring some nonsense about brown spoons, getting high, and black helicopters. She is, after all, the SILVER STAR! And her follow up album...The Eternal Blue. Of course, we all know it is a JRPG that has nothing to do with sex, drugs or rock n roll, but love the name because it evokes that kind of imagery for me.
4--Cobra Command (NES). Hey, you are in charge of a bunch of friggin cobras! How effing cool is that?? What..no? Game is about a helicopter who controls poorly and must rescue people stuck underground because tanks and infantry can't get the job done? Err, ok. Cool name though...
5--Bomberman (various). He is a man....who bombs stuff. Says what he is, says what he does. Says what YOU will be doing in the game. Nuff said.
6--Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (Genesis)...because us silly Americans would NEVER understand what the hell a "Puyo" is, so we get the ultra cool Mean Bean Machine, sponsored by Dr. Robotnik! Umm, yea.
7--Sword of Sodan (Genesis). Ultra cool name which sounds like it could be out of Conan the Barbarian lore....cept it's for a crappy, poorly controlling, poorly implemented hack n slasher that sucked back then, sucks 10x that much nowadays.

Ninja Baseball Batman Oh Shit! The World Ends With You Vidiot Game SUPERHOT Rising Zan: The Samurai Gunman As a notable mention, a crazy Russian FMV game called "Бухло" ( it should be seen to be believed - mind you, it's not just some indie crap, this one was actually sold in stores), which more or less translates as "Booze". Really want this one for my collection - mostly to have a right to tell people I have a game called "Booze".

There's an eroge RPG that was actually released in English for PC in the 90s. It's not so good, but the title is super badass: Mad Paradox. I honestly wish it was better, just so I could tell people Mad Paradox is my favorite game. Somebody mentioned Mad Stalker, honorable mention to that.
Also, Lady Stalker sounds totally wrong, but it's actually just a sequel to Landstalker staring a girl named Lady.

I actually bought "Oh Shit!" just to say I own it, despite only being a casual fan of Pac Man -- so yeah, I concur, that's a very effective name. I find it amusing that there also exists a version of it called "Oh No!" Guess somebody complained. Also, a few more nominations from me, of games I played when I was a kid: pretty much all of the Learning Company "Super Solvers" titles. Those games are considered classics of edutainment for a reason (that reason being, they're actually pretty fun games!), but they also all have extremely appealing names, especially for young children. The three I owned were "Midnight Rescue" (a reading comprehension game that was probably my favorite of the bunch, and also has probably my favorite name), "OutNumbered" (a math comprehension game that I didn't like as much as Midnight Rescue, but I loved the pun in the name), and "Challenge of the Ancient Empires" (a bit more straightforward, but still set my imagination into high gear when I first heard it, and the game itself definitely lived up to its title). Other cool-sounding titles from the series that I never played include Treasure Cove, Treasure Galaxy, Operation Neptune, and Gizmos & Gadgets. -Tom

Was just watching some Ashens videos while folding my laundry, and learned of what may be the best game name of all time. It's for the Pop Station, so the game itself is pretty much an unplayable mess of static LCD images, but it's a chicken-fighting game called Chanticleer Hegemony.
CHANTICLEER HEGEMONY.
That's seriously my new favorite game name. I mean... that's just amazing. Simply amazing.

There are several titles that I can find memorable, for various reasons: they sound cool, or exotic, or mysterious, or just plain weird or goofy. Here's a list of just a few of them, in no particular order:
The Outfoxies Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders (sounds like 50s sci-fi without being too on-the-nose) Zombies Ate My Neighbors (same as above) CarnEvil (nice pun) Alisia Dragoon (sounds cool) Wild Guns (sounds cool, is a perfect description) Psychic 5 The Great Ragtime Show Bad Dudes vs Dragon Ninja The Guardian Legend Ghouls 'n Ghosts Hot Shocker (very misleading title of a very old, obscure maze game) Deathsmiles Amberstar / Ambermoon Disposable Hero
Some nonsense words/names, I like how they sound: Klax Trog! Arkanoid Wardner Puzznic Hydorah
