Voting has ended* - DON'T GET YOUR VOTE ON HERE!This month, we'll be looking at Battle Arena Toshidnen and Bushido Blade! Voting has ended, and the polls were in favor of 3-D fighting games at 10:30! However, do note that we received some votes after the poll had formally ended but we hadn't quite pulled 'er yet. There's still a chance to get your two cents in, though! What 3-D fighters would you all be interested in playing? Drop us a line within the next day and let us know! PRO TIPPZ:- None yet! Be the first to submit a tip for whichever wins.
Secondary voting will end at Thursday, May 7 2015 at 10:30 PM EST! *NOTE*: When voting, please choose a game that you want to play - and will play - but have not beaten entirely or beaten recently, say, within the last 5 - 10 years. You may not vote for a game that you have played or spoiled within the last year! It's also best to vote for a game that you have not played before. All votes are final, so no going back if you change your mind. If you're going to vote, we'd like to have you along for the ride! Previous 3 GC9X Threads:

The only right choice is F2P!

I'd LOVE to hear people talk about sports RPGs on the podcast, but I'm 100% certain I'd have no time to play any. On the other hand, I'm getting quite a bit into free-to-play phone games on the subway right now, so I could participate almost naturally as long as we're playing Android stuff.

Do we have a poll for this one yet? I'm not seeing one.

You guys should join me in Touken Ranbu hell, haha, but I doubt any F2P game that'd be selected would be anything along those lines. I voted Sports RPGs, but I'm drawing a blank in regard to ones I already own. There's Mario Golf on GBC, but I already played that to death. Not super big on fighters in general, but depending on what would be selected if it won, I might be down (I propose a cheeseball fighter like a Toshinden or something, haha).

For those that voted, or those simply reading this thread, which game would you like to play based on each of these themes? Just name any games that you feel GC9X should play in each category! Let's limit it to 3 games each for now.

F2P games: -Tribes Ascend -Hawken -Blacklight: Retribution Sports RPGs: -Touhou Soccer (not sure if RPG but pretty sure it doesn't qualify as a 'typical' sports game) -I think there's some wrestling-type RPGs, pick one - ?? 3D Fighters: -Battle Arena Toshinden, but only if you cover the Game Boy version too since that was actually a decent 2D fighter. -Ehergeiz (or however it's spelled) just for a look at one of Square Enix's less-grand efforts -Bloody Roar series (RIP Hudson)

F2P Games: - Warframe - Marvel Heroes - Gun'Z 2: The Duel
Sports RPG: Don't know any of them, so I gotta pass on this one.
3D Fighters: - Mace: The Dark Age - Bloody Roar 2 - Sonic The Fighters

Free to play: Voted for this, but I'm only likely to play if it's playable on mid-end Android phones. Also not going to play a free-to-play RPG.
Sports RPGs: I'd be for Sekaihatsu Soccer RPG, but if no one wants to play a Japanese only Saturn game, how about just Inazuma Eleven?
3D fighters (how is this a weird genre?): Do boxing games count? Then I'd say Ready2Rumble or Facebreaker

I'm assuming we're not allowed to pick "obvious ones." (But I'll put them on my list anyway and you can cross off the ones that don't fit.) Free-to-play (not sure if some of these count): Spiral Knights Toribash Path of Exile Sports RPGs: Mario Golf series (all of the portable ones) Inazuma Eleven Golf Quest Mini3D Fighting Games: Street Fighter EX series Sonic the Fighters Power Stone series

how about just Inazuma Eleven? From my brief research, it appears that only the 3DS eShop version is available in North America? I see a few others released in Europe, but those would only be viable with a region free system (like the DS game).

Free-to-play (not sure if some of these count): Toribash YES. THIS ONE.
I want to see the GC9X crew attempting to steer a stickman (badly).

The fun part about Toribash is that it applies to at least two of the choices. Are there RPG elements?

We could actually combine the F2P with the Sports RPG with Pangya Online. It's a golf RPG!
