...still need to type the essay. It's only supposed to be 400-600 words which is no problem but the subject is. I have to write about what I would do if I had unlimited resources and a chance to use the Boston Common to promote any message I wanted. The problem is that I have no idea what kind of message I'd want to promote.

Isn't there something you feel strongly about? Something that upsets you about the world or something you'd want to change? I would think it would be difficult to write a convincing essay about some aspect of society that someone else wants to change!

The whole controversy over violence in video games? The lack of media coverage of various world problems? The overt media coverage of various celebreties' problems? How Invader Zim and various other obscure things should've been given a chance? The general underestimation of animated shows as serious media? Why ignorance is bliss? Why we shouldn't have started farming in the first place in stead of hunting for prey? Why time travel isn't possible? That lava lamps are incessantly cool? How humans aren't to blame for global warming? Bush's reluctance to accept Hydrogen as the solution to our current energy crisis? How water will soon become a valuable resource? Why humans feel strongly offended by bodily functions? How toddlers don't know about the birds and the bees? Why black should stay as the new black? How denim is still superior to other fabrics?
