If we're counting chiptune licensed music, then Rock N' Roll Racing gets my vote:
(Honorable mention to Gran Turismo 2, which still comes to mind whenever "Dragula" or "Sex Type Thing" hits my ears!)

If we're counting chiptune licensed music, then Rock N' Roll Racing gets my vote: Chiptunes are alright. I guess. I'm wondering if we should include songs from games that were made for the games themselves like the ones we see in the ending credits. Also, if anyone is wondering where I got the idea for this here it is. www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQ_iq2B3XIU&list=PLat70PiAjeSjb0JDP4tehPfCf5U31DNmj&index=1I tend to like top 10 lists.

Speaking of credit songs, I can't believe I mentioned DeadRising and not the ending credits.
No doubt my favorite use of licensed music in games. Combined with the small trail of zombies slowly coming closer to show a never ending horde, fit with the ending and the overall story of the game perfectly. Also the song kicks ass anyway.

For me nothing beats Fly Me To The Moon remix at Bayonetta: I love Elite Beat Agent (then again, who doesn't?). This is my favorite stage: "FUCK YOU, NATURE! IT'S GOING TO BE SUNNY FOR THE SAKE OF MY SON!"

vetus : yep, EBA is awesome, especially for me, because I love rythm games. Have you tried Moero! Justice Gakuen (the second japanese game in the series)? The music is of course unknown, but it gives the game another level of strangeness which I love. Plus there is Hyde's "Countdown" on the last level, and that is worth getting that version. EBA and Moero are perfectly complementary; if you love one, you'll love the other one, and it will feel fresh, too. "Countdown" is such a great way to accompany the last level, it gives me chills. Moero made me discover Hyde, and that makes it an extr-awesome game in my book. Good point with "fly me to the moon", although for me it will always be linked to Evangelion first and foremost...

Offspring in Crazy Taxi. I really cannot see the two apart from one another. YEah, as I said, Crazy Taxi and its soundtrack are a perfect synergy. Which makes it sad when recent ports of the game don't include the original songs, which are truly iconic...

Actually Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan and its superior sequel are my favorite DS games. I am so fanatic with this game that I even wanted to make a cosplay. Unfortunately I never made it since a good ouendan costume would be kinda pricey and hard to make, so I ended up making Elite Beat Agents cosplay instead with two friends of mine (with me cosplaying as Agent Derek): vetus.deviantart.com/gallery/We even made a short silly video a la Mega 64: As about its soundtrack, it used many popular songs like Shonen Heart from Home Made Kazoku (which is one of the ending songs for Eureka Seven), Glamorous Sky (of the songs from NANA live action movie) and Sekai wa Sore o Ai to Yobundaze from Sambomaster (ending song of Densha Otoko). The final stage of Ouendan 2 is one of the most awesome moments in gaming history ( CAUTION: SPOILER ALERT VIDEO): www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLkrqRVSO3EYou will even find live action presentations of the final stage in cosplay events: www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-qYmvZiuH4

vetus : cool! Ouendan 2 is easily in my top ten DS games. I like EBA less, perhaps because I know the songs too well and the covers are distracting. And it's the kind of game that has to take place in Japan... Anyway cool cosplay, lol-!

Τhanks.
The thing is that I first played and finished Elite Beat Agents in order to figure out how the gameplay works. You see, when I first tried Ouendan 1 before EBA I couldn't understand shit.

Yeah, Ouendan 1 lacked a number of features that EBA introduced, and which made the game much better. (If I'm not wrong, in Ouendan 1, you couldn't even skip the intros to each level!)

You remember right: you couldn't skip the intros which was quite annoying, especially in final stage where the intro was bigger and the difficulty is bigger. Also the sound quality at Ouendan 1 while it was all right it could be better. EBA and Ouendan 2 not only fixed the problems of the first games but also improved the graphics a lot which were a little low-budget at the first one (still appealing and with great choreography at ouendan's performance). Still I love the first one even with its flaws.

Lollipop Chainsaw. You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) in the harvester sequence is especially amusing.
