I'll be honest, since it's the end of the semester, I have been too damn busy to play through TIE Fighter.

It would be awesome if they made a new TIE Fighter type full on space sim (not skimping out on complexity) using assets from Battlefront.

Well great, now you've opened a can of worms - someone needs to make either an OutRun-styled Imperial March, or a John Williams-style Magical Sound Shower.

To whoever updates the rss file: There was a typo in the URL for TIE Fighter (it read TIED_Fighter), so please fix (or redownload the fixed version from the server) before updating the next time.

Finished listening to it and I might as well add something.
Some of the Expanded Universe books do try to depict the Empire somewhat differently (though it helps that, after Endor, the Empire broke into competing factions that fought each other; an author can always trot out another murderous Imperial). Thrawn is actually one of these. He isn't the standard "murder everyone" villain. He uses cunning, bribery, and not so much genocide (he will kill, but not without justification). The X-Wing/Wraith squadron series of books had a few as well.
As far as World War I flight sims, I think Wings of Glory by Origin is a pretty good one. Fly missions to attack trains, tanks, cars, factories, and even Zeppelins. Back on base, talk with squadmates about the progress of the war.

I really like how in the EU like after Empire it all happens because everyone starts to think of Vader as this useless fuck up.
