My favorite thing about the original Star Fox art is that the characters all have artificial, robotic lower legs, and practically no one seems to notice: They say that people who have missing legs are more tolerant to g-forces, since blood can't pool in the legs, sooooo... Makes Star Fox a bit more macabre than meets the eye.

Just posted this in the worst box art thread, but I've changed my mind!
It's some sort of obscure European MSX/Amiga game I couldn't find any other info on. But man, I'd have bought this in a heartbeat!

There's the fan theory that all the pilots have to have their legs converted in some way because of technobabble efficiency/pressure of space and gravity effects on bone structure on lighter animal bones compared to humans.

Okay, I can buy them being cyborgs now. That's disturbing.

The frist thing that comes to mind is Ambermoon Besides the wonderful quality I like how every character in there is an actual NPC, as are the items and other background details. The artist is Dieter Rottermund.

For instance, that one is iconic because of its ultra-realistic picture... I love it!

...While that one has no ultra-detailed painting to offer, but wins by pure design. So nineties!
