Yeah, I couldn't stand him. Just dealing with him in my Senran Kagura thread was enough to make me decide to pretty much avoid future interactions with him as much as possible. He's a particularly unpleasant person to engage with.

He used to start threads here to complain about what some random person on another forum had said to him and how obviously wrong they were, too. Guy's got issues. Oh, right. I completely forgot about that. Yeah, that's not a healthy way to deal with that. I mean, he already did...

He used to start threads here to complain about what some random person on another forum had said to him and how obviously wrong they were, too. Guy's got issues. That part I remember quite vividly. Ace Whatever Really? He started arguments all the time. As soon as he had a disagreement over something he'd type out some interminable post filled with nonsense and irrelevant details, then if you actually addressed a specific point he'd completely ignore your point or pretend to misunderstand so as to try and remain in control of the "debate". Then he'd PM you to keep it going. Just the most pointless arguments. He's probably gonna start a thread somewhere just to whine and rant about this very post. It'll be about ten times longer, and he'll completely misrepresent the situation to make himself look like the victim. That's what he does. I went back to look at the Senran Kagura thread. Oof, not a fun retread. I also looked at his blog post and reddit thread complaining about the situation. The best I could say is that he's somewhat tame for someone who thinks he's constantly being wronged.

Oh my gosh, he actually keeps a blog ranting about "SJWs". oof. But... "how do you know if someone is a SJW?" (couldn't resist)
Double standards aside, I actually feel kinda sorry for the guy. He seems desperate for attention and validation - probably not the happiest person in the world.

user EdmondDante (sic) was a bit insufferable, but well-meaning as a forum poster. Getting themself (for lack of a better pronoun) banned is a shame; but pretty understandable, given their habit of going on and on and on...
RIP EdmondDante - I know you meant well, but some of your social commentary is messed up and you're too stubborn to listen to differing opinions.
in other news: it is now May 2019 (where I'm at) and the world is still chugging along, for better or for worse...

Maybe it's because I've never been too fond of internet celebrity culture, e-fame and such things, but I never understood how people get so enamored with those personalities that are for the most part jerks who get overpaid just for goofing around and doing some random shit (Youtubers but also other "influencers" on Instagram, TikTok etc.) I get that entertainers need to be paid, but to me "actors" are still the ones who study and rehearse and not some random fucks behind a webcam or smartphone. Maybe it's because young people think that everyone can become famous that way, but it's mostly all an illusion generated by the social networks' virality, when maybe 1% get rich and famous and the other 99% makes tons of stuff that either nobody cares about or gets forgotten in the blink of an eye.
