Can we nominate games here? I nominate Veigues Tactical Gladiator for the TG16.
Thanks for covering Blazing Lazers and Mr Domino. I know that the Japanese name of Blazing Lazers (Gunhed) was mentioned in the podcast but I don't think it was mentioned that it was based on a Japanese live action movie. Viz released the managa adaptation of the movie in the early 90s and did a really nice job with it.

Can we nominate games here? I nominate Veigues Tactical Gladiator for the TG16. Since you haven't had a nomination on the show before, I think that'll be OK. I'll add that in right now. We know you guys have a lot of requests for what you'd like to see, and that's great! We're just trying to make sure everybody has a fair chance at getting their nominations done before we go back and do more games from previous nominees.

Cool, in that case I'd also like to nominate one: Todd's Adventures in Slime World (Lynx).
Also: should I know who or what this Dogs Bower character is?

Hope Caitlin will join you fine folks for more episodes. The illbleed discussion was great. I'll have to check it out, I thought it was just another survival horror game, sounds like a hidden gem. Is it on par with Deadly Premonition? Stellar episode.

Oh man, Deadly Premonition is one that needs to be rated, though I think it'd have to be the original and not the director's cut, because from what I understand that has some pretty game breaking bugs.

Wasn't Little Samson's director also responsible for the first Mega Man? I think I may have heard that on Retronauts? Still listening to the new episode, great so far.

There's a game-breaking bug in the original Deadly Premonition too. The Director's Cut is still a bad experience though, because it adds on pointless shit that detracts from the experience, while fixing absolutely none of the issues with the original release, and also being a technical disaster of a release. On PC it's almost unplayable because of how frequently it crashes, and based on the Two Best Friends video series on the PS3 version, that version has some issues with the framerate which aren't present in the 360 version. But anyways, I would totally love to see Deadly Premonition get rated on this podcast. Maybe I'll consider nominating it at some point in the future. I'd definitely recommend the 360 version over the later versions, though.

The 360 version of Deadly Premonition is the one I played, so I can't speak for other versions.
There is a part near the end that got a lot of probably well deserved criticism for being transphobic, though to me at least it didn't feel mean spirited.
