pretty much what it says in the title. I'm looking for games set during autumn or having an autumnal atmosphere: wind, rain, falling leaves, gold-yellow-brown color palette and melancholy. not necessarily Halloween stuff (there's already a thread for that) but horror games that fit the mood (e.g. Rule of Rose) are welcome.

is it any good? I've watched some gameplay vids when looking for older Fromsoft games but didn't have a chance to play it.

I like it, but it's a cult RPG for a reason. I like how your equipment can solve puzzles and the soundtrack is quite unique.

The games don't have entirely an autumn settings, only some parts: The Whispered World - from Daedalic Studios Atelier Escha & Logy, but I would only recommend it, if you can like the repetitive Atelier Style Pathologic Classic HD, I don't know if they put an orange screen in some places, but it has some melancholic autumn vibe. Yours sincerely Jack Caeylin

is Pathologic Classic HD any different from the 2006 version? I've got the physical copy of the old one and I really like it.

Every Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons and the far superior Stardew Valley have an autumn part, for obvious reasons. Pokemon Black/White 2 have seasonal cycles, too. As does every Animal Crossing, of course.

The Kirby games always felt autumn-y to me.
Ori and the Blind Forrest, too.

IIRC, it includes a retranslated script. that's interesting because the original translation is lousy from a functional perspective (it just doesn't get some of the dialog right) but it's very good at capturing the style. I hope the new one isn't the other way around because Pathologic is one of those games that rely heavily on the writing style.

For some reason, a lot of games I've been think of as having an autumn look or feel to them, don't seem to actually have it when I refresh my memory by looking at screenshots. Strange. I do know that the Village in Resident Evil 4 totally has this though.

Well, many horror games do have it but they might not be the kind of autumn vibes you are looking for. Horror games that come up my mind: Blood, Silent Hill 2, Project Zero 5, and Resident Evil games, especially 4 that was mentioned before. Harvest Moon games have really strong vibes for each of the seasons. Sonic & Knuckles also has that cool forest zone that gets more autumn-like as you go through it, but that's just two levels. I guess many Castlevania games have kind of autumn-vibe going on, like that part when Alucard runs to the Castle in SotN. And Lament of Innocence is set during autumn, if I recall correctly. Oh yeah, and that Fragile game on the Wii, can't remember its whole title. I'm not sure whether it's set during autumn but it definitely has that kind of vibes going on. Shame it never got a sequel that would have ironed out its flaws...
Haven't played them but I guess S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games have an autumn setting?

looks great, I've seen the trailer before but for some reason never picked up the game. it reminds me of the film Watership Down a bit.
