Hey, I just finished this one. I didn't realize the Jaguar had chip music capabilites too, I guess I'll have a look at it later. It's a pretty small library anyway. Check this channel when you can It has a pretty good selection Jeffrey X
And this one by the composer who was working on a unreleased homebrew shoot 'up for the system gamescomputers

Added an OPL4/YMF278B page (ARC, PC, MSX2+): minirevver.weebly.com/ymf278bopl4-music.html#The Bombaman homebrew is probably the best example, but only uses 16 of 24 sample channels and no FM. Potentially the list could be a lot longer with it being general midi compatible, but there isn't much online it seems.

Awesome! I'm busy with Wikipedia at the moment with some Atari Jaguar-related stuff (and other things beyond that system) but i'll check the links and help you with the page

Found another Yamaha sound chip arcade from 1984, but according to arcade-history, it was released in December 1984. And System 16 said it was credited by "Taito/Seta". vgmrips.net/packs/pack/cycle-mahbou-arcade

Cool, yeah I check that site regularly (I'm Alianger there). That OST sounds pretty bad but it is historically interesting at least.

Wow, nice! I am there, too.
I guess Cycle Mahbou and Marble Madness were two of the earliest to use a Yamaha soundchip, but both are different soundchips.
I noticed that not only the YM2608 was used in NEC PC-88 and PC-98, but even in some arcades...
* Tail to Nose: Great Championship * Hatris * Mechanized Attack
There might be more.

Sounds good! Certain instruments seem a bit off, like the chords in "Town" or the saw bass in "Dungeon", but it could be an emulation issue. It seems different on X68K: vgmrips.net/packs/pack/akazukin-cha-cha-cha-sharp-x68000But they are different games (X68K one is a shooter), so it makes sense. There's a PC game port titled Hisyou, but as an original game instead of a manga/anime-based on. youtu.be/BU3X2ae8hpo
