Zoomed out/in version of Puzzle Quest Galactrix galaxy map: I haven't tried Spellweaver yet, but it's World Map looks incredibly rich and detailed. That's some effort right there !

With Frank Klepacki music at background The real fun begins when you got bomus for double move per turn. Not mission select but i like that map screen between levels

I was thinking of using that one, and it's probably still my favourite Keen episode. Went with Keen 6 mainly for the variety.

Battle of Olympus, NES. Orpheus did a lot of freaken walking. So nice of the dolphins to give him a ride from Crete to Phrygia. I can't imagine trying to stay on a dolphin for several hours, while carrying 2 staffs, 2 swords, a shield, a harp, and who knows what else.

Speaking of skill trees, I like having to build one yourself in Rogue Legacy, that is, the manor where you live. I like the map from Amiga platformer Fire 'n' Ice going from cold to hot climates, even if I don't understand why having it throughout the whole game:

NES games usually had great looking maps in general and hold quite a bit of nostalgia for me.Like Shatterhand's for example - when paired with stage select music, sucks you straight into the game in no time.

True that. Pity Natsume never made next-gen follow-up to Shatterhand, it was just good straight forward action. A lot of old NES and SNES game maps just tug at me nostalgically. Like this vid of opening EVERY SINGLE MAP in Simcity (it takes over 3 hours!). I got sick of waiting for maps to load after looking at freaken 10 or 11 of them.

I'd say those guys aged pretty well --families and all that,you know .Too bad Natsume never gonna be the same,i guess;
