This game had some cool boss fights, never thought much about the original and yet I recommend this one whenever somebody wants obscure DS/3DS games.

General Chaos 2...if it ever comes out.
I still have the figurines for the prototype game.

The second phase's attacks kept going outta view for me, so occasionally felt like I was getting cheap-shot. Fantastic little game, though, and with a largely fair difficulty curve too.

Heiankyo Alien for Game Boy. It was published in 1990, whereas the original was developed at Tokyo University in 1979. It got an arcade and home computer version later, but it's still interesting that it was released eleven years alter, especially back then when games were more easily forgotten.

Wanna know what's even more interesting? The quasi-port Neo Heiankyo Alien was just released less than a couple of weeks ago, for Famicom (yup, you heard it).

Elevator Action Returns. 11 years after the original, you'd think some time in the mid-'80's would have warranted a sequel, if any time.

That game must've had some kind of enduring popularity in Japan to get remade and re-released many times (there was also a remake somewhat late in the Super Famicom's life, Nichibutsu Arcade Classics 2: Heiankyo Alien) and also copied by other games (such as Cratermaze for the TG16, which was a Doraemon license game in Japan).

Not sure how Rise of the Robots 2 ever got the greenlight? A couple of garbage Konami games on the PSP somehow got sequels. Rengoku 2 and Coded Arms: Contagion. Did these sell well in Japan or something?

Soldam on the Switch came out over 20 years after the Arcade and Gameboy version. But the Switch version has some features removed like big gems and the screen cleaning fairy. But they added some unlockable pet mode that evolve when you play instead yet the Sound Effects and Music are taken from arcade version.
Magical Drop 5 came out of nowhere too and had a the mechanics from Ghost Lop added in which was a completed and unreleased Data East Neo Geo Arcade game.
