I don't know how to express my affection for people in a positive manner, no accept it in return. Love you man. I'm waiting for that awkwardness... don't disappoint me. - I plain just don't get the appeal of JRPGs Turn based battles is the biggest deal-breaker for me, it just doesn't float my boat at all. The art of games like Final Fantasy 6 or Phantasy Star IV does look very appealing to me though, so maybe one day... It's not so much the turn-based stuff that turns me off, though it doesn't help. It's more the JRPG tropes do nothing for me... I find it hard to take any of their stories seriously. Especially for the amount of hours it takes to burn through them.

Every subsequent GTA game is better than 3. There, I said it

I liked Sonic Adventure. Even the PC port, which I replayed recently. Even better than Sonic Adventure 2.

I hated the Tails/Eggman stages in SA2. Brought the whole game down a peg for me.

Funny, I never had a Mega Drive, but I always thought Sega was a lot better than Nintendo at bringing stuff over to Europe in the 16 bit days. I also do see quite a bit of Sega nostalgia (regarding all their systems) here in Germany, but that's of course just my personal sample group. Club Nintendo had a childish image, but if you were among their demography, it was one hell of a marketing campaign. I've owned Deus Ex for years, but never got around to play it. I've played a lot more of Mega Man X6 and X7, to put it in worse terms. The older I get, the more ADHD my attention span for games gets. If I can't get some excitement within 5 minutes of gameplay, I'm generally annoyed. Yeah, JRPGs aren't really my fav genre, with some exceptions. I rarely ever play physical consoles (handhelds are an exception); if emulation is good enough I don't really care about 100% authenticity. People who argue about story in games that don't center around it (Street Fighter, for example) are overtly nerdy, paying more attention to it than developers usually do. Sierra games generally tend to have more interesting settings than Lucas Arts games. Seeing I barely every play consoles anymore, the most modern console I own is a Gamecube. Might change the next time I move, though. I liked GTA2 better than GTA3. It certainly aged better. There's tons of games that do what GTA3 does better (most of them also have GTA in the title), can't say the same for GTA2.

You'll probably like Liberty City Stories. It has city of GTA3 (which I still personally consider the best one in "3D universe"), but with all the refinements of the latter games, better story, and crapton of additional content (seriously, there are so many side-missions not marked on the map, it's like there's whole other game within this one).

I liked the first Lords of Shadow and legitimately think its a good game, not great but plenty serviceable... 2 on the other hand whew. Even I won't defend that.
I didn't like Morrowind. I don't at all think it's bad but I really do not like the way it's designed like how you MUST break the game if you don't want it to be torture... and so many of the quest just seem so dead set on being a huge waste of time. I was really glad when it was over and unlike the rest of open world games where I like to play through multiple times with different builds I'm confident I won't be booting this up for another run. Again its not bad but I really think there is some heavy rose tinted glasses for this one.

The only thing that really kept me coming back to Morrowind was the lore and setting. I didn't really enjoy the gameplay until later when I was able to come back to it with mods that fix a lot of the crap.

Every subsequent GTA game is better than 3. There, I said it You're totally right, GTAV is the best game in the series and it's also the newest one, how many other franchises can make that claim? That the latest is also the best? I liked GTA2 better than GTA3. GTA2 is fun to dick around in but I find it almost impossible to complete the missions due to the lack of an in game map. It is still more fun to play nowadays than GTA3.

We probably won't know until a while after RDR2 comes out. I'm so bad at beating GTA games that the only one I've played through is The Ballad of Gay Tony, which I liked a LOT.
