Either the developer or the publisher. I'm going to exclude classic game compilations (Activision Anthology, Namco Museum, etc.) because that's a bit too easy.
How about the obvious ones first?

ANOTHER list thread involving game titles? yep. If it makes you feel any better, I don't have any more pressing ideas for such threads.
Then again, a "ridiculously long game titles" thread might be fun. Then I would have an excuse to post my favorite, Bababadalgharaghtakamminarronnkonnbronntonnerronn tuonnthunntrovarrhounawns kawntoohoohoordenenthurnuk for the Ouya.

I guess. I'm just not a big fan of list threads. People post a bunch of names, eventually running out of ideas and the thread dies. They don't generate any discourse; people don't usually respond to each other. There are no ideas or concepts to debate beyond "yup, that meets the criteria of the list". They aren't dialogues so much as parallel monologues.

Not the same thing but I always thought it was weird that the end label on Bases Loaded for the NES just said JALECO

They don't generate any discourse; people don't usually respond to each other. There are no ideas or concepts to debate beyond "yup, that meets the criteria of the list". They aren't dialogues so much as parallel monologues. Actually the other list threads HAVE generated quite a bit of discourse (all sorts of stuff in the "Creator loses rights to series, then makes a clone of it" thread, for instance, as well as the "Sequels with completely different titles" thread), and have unearthed many little-known facts and connections between a whole lot of games, as well as unusual legal situations and the like. Not to mention the general value simply of having a place to collect information about these topics; for example, yes, I do think it matters and is relevant to video game discourse that (x) game and (y) game have the same creator, so thank God there's a thread where I can post all such discoveries.
Even seemingly more frivolous threads like the "game titles that contain the same word twice" thread have generated some neat facts. I mean, who knew that the Japanese name for Mega Man: Powered Up was "Rockman Rockman"? That's exactly the sort of stuff I come to gaming forums to learn.
So I will have to disagree with you there.

"Boomer's Adventure in Asmik World" is a pretty good one, and from a relatively obscure publisher as well (Asmik was SOMEWHAT prolific back in the day, but it still seemed a bit presumptuous of them to release a game with their company name in the title).
Also was apparently a pretty decent game, going by Jeremy Parish's Game Boy Works review!

SegaSonic the Hedgehog (which actually got an article on the site recently.)
A trackball based Sonic arcade game that bears some resemblance to Sonic 3D Blast. Apparently Sega briefly lost control of the Sonic trademark because someone forgot to file some paperwork.

Well, Square had to put their name in their Tom Sawyer game because shocking someone else in the same year thought the Famicom needed a Tom Sawyer game.
You know what's weird, Tecmo actually made TWO NES games with "Tecmo" and "soccer" in the title. "Tecmo World Cup Soccer" was a pretty standard soccer game released in Japan and PAL regions, while "Tecmo Cup Soccer Game" was the US version of Captain Tsubasa Vol. 1 with its license stripped out.

I wouldn't be surprised if a number of games with company titles were sports games because it's probably hard to stand out when you're making a games based on a real life sport/game with predefined rules and structure. Didn't Capcom make some quiz games with their name in them? Also, I'm sure they made a SNES soccer game with their name in it. Capcom's Soccer Shootout? The one without super-powered robots in it. Capcom MVP Football. From a developer that otherwise exclusively made licensed crap for THQ.
