One more to add: Paranoia Scape (PS1, 1998).

Technically, you don't shoot things; you instead use two pinball-flipper-like bones to launch energy balls at enemies. As far as I'm concerned, though, close enough.

Also qualifies as a first-person brawler, in a somewhat similar vein to The Super Spy.

Here's some curious misinformation I found on Guinness World Records:

Faceball 2000, released in 1991, was the only Game Boy title to allow 16 players to play together, via cables and link ports. Faceball 2000 was also the first (and only) Game Boy black and white game played from the first person perspective.

Both claims made here are false. First, Faceball is obviously not the only first-person game for the Game Boy; I just posted Bionic Battler, for instance. Furthermore, Faceball 2000's 16-player mode, while programmed into the game, is impossible to play "via cables and link ports" because no existing cables are compatible with it; 4 players is the max.

That is really sloppy, and their included box shot even says 1 - 4 players. However, it is technically possible even if the equipment was never commercially released which was probably enough for them. The first person part is totally wrong, but I think it might be the only one available in English that doesn't have tile-based movement. X does too, but that was JP exclusive. They really need to tweak that though.

Enemy Zero (SEGA Saturn, 1996)

A first-person horror game where the only way to survive is to shoot invisible aliens at point blank range, developed by WARP and directed by Kenji Eno of D and D2. There is a review of the game on HG101, but it's so spoileriffic that I don't feel comfortable linking it.
