Or the whole company as with Treasure and McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure.

Two examples I always thought were interesting: Treasure, known for their action games and shoot-'em-ups, also made Light Crusader, an isometric European-style RPG. I've always wondered if Light Crusader was a mockery rather than a homage to Western RPGs since it was very dull, plodding, repetitive, with annoying puzzles, though the ghost of the good king was named GARRIOTT...
Back to the topic, from what I found: -David Jaffe was one of the designers for the Genesis' Mickey Mania. -Westwood Studios made the absurdly difficult Lion King platform game. -Overdrive is a Japanese company that made erotic games but "Go Go Nippon" had no smutty elements, was intended for a foreign audience and was somewhat educational. -Platinum Games made the slower-paced sci-fi space opera RPG Infinite Space together with a former maker of erotic dating sims.

Woody Alien No company's going to invest time and money into making a non-comedy game just to "mock" a genre. Also, Light Crusader is a pretty good game.

Funny that Datam Polystar's first game was "Musya: The Tale of Horror" before going to exclusively make cutesy games. But then turned into a VN company early into the PS life.

Musya was developed by Jorudan, though, which made games like the SNES Aliens VS Predators. It's not so out of character for them, especially since it's so awful.

Conversely, Monolith Soft, known for their Japanese RPGs and work on the Zelda series, also made Disaster: Day of Crisis, a third-person shooter action-survival game. Treasure also made the Ronald McDonald game on the Genesis

Westwood Studios, the developers known mostly for Command & Conquer, made a pretty mean Monopoly game for Windows. Also with a bomb-ass soundtrack:

People these days remember Westwood only as makers of C&C, but they actually had a very a wide range of games back in the day.

Yeah, they were basically an RPG company C&C although they did dabble in some other areas.
