market demands suck, sometimes.
I'll offer Castlevania 2 for NES... what a waste.

Epic Mickey 2,which halfway through the game just abruptly jumped to the final boss. Sin Episodes Star Wars:the Force Unleashed 2, which is much shorter than the first game.

market demands suck, sometimes. I'll offer Castlevania 2 for NES... what a waste. I'm not sure which qualifies Castlevania II as an "unfinished" game. A couple of legit translation mistakes and a lot of INTENTIONALLY WRONG hints (that's not a mistake but a game feature, whether or not it is a good one). Underwhelming boss fights, maybe. But if rushed content like that is "unfinished", then probably a lot of games qualify.
Virtual Lab for the Virtual Boy should be a perfect example. Rushed out the door with so many signs it was unfinished: it gives the players passwords but they didn't code the password input menu, the box and cart misspell Nintendo's name in different ways, the boxart has literally no text or pictures about the game (the only text on their is the standard legal/health warning stuff).
I have not actually finished a Golden Sun game but from what I hear the first two games are actually just halves of a single game. I remember playing a bit far into Lost Age when it was still new but I just wasn't feeling it. The game just felt a bit "hollow".
Something tells me these are the sort of game which has ambition to be a good game but falls a bit short but adds fluff to be more complete. (like the "Mind Read" spell to double the NPC text)
But someday maybe I'll finish them.

Hard to say if they were unfinished, rushed or the devs were just incompetent: Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes of the Lance Chakan Shadow of the Beast II Phantasy Star III TechnoClash Lord of the Sword James Pond 3 Rastan 2 Cyborg 009 (SNES) Ghostbusters 1-2 (NES) Psycho Dream The Immortal Romancing Saga 1 Super Putty Maze of Galious (NES ver.) Jurassic Park (Amiga), Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues Tintin in Tibet (MD/SNES)

I mean, not really? The first game is still as long as any GBA RPG, it's just that they conceived it as a two-parter, just like they conceived Shining Force 3 to be a 3-games thing. If they wanted to fit the relevant parts of the story in one game, they could have done so

Duke Nukem Forever.
I paid 5 euro for it which is 20 euro too expensive.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain? (haven't played it, could be a myth) The game play and premise were present and very good, the rest needed some more time in the oven.

Yesterday's article on Dead Synchronicity reminded me of how Toonstruck was released literally half finished with the second half never made because of low sales. I got it for free on GOG at some point, but still haven't played it because it's unfinished. There's a certain element of "why bother" if the story is only half done. Supposedly there may be a sequel/completed version, but that's apparently been teased for almost a decade now. Plus, would Christopher Lloyd still even do it?

I'm like that as well with games. It's why I never started Shenmue or Anachronox as well as others.
