I just got a Nintendo 64 with no games, now I have to find games for it. Here is a list of things that look interesting so far, some of which I have played:
Banjo Kazooie and Tooie
Perfect Dark
Goldeneye
Majora's Mask
Blast Corps
Starfox 64
Jet Force Gemini
Legend of the Mystical Ninja
Ogre Battle: Person of Lordly Caliber
Body Harvest
Mischief Makers
Vigilante 8
What other games do you suggest?

My favorite N64 games are Wave Race 64 and Diddy Kong Racing, followed closely by Super Mario 64!
I’ve also grown to like the first Castlevania a bit, but it’s ugly as sin and definitely an acquired taste. I played very little of Legacy of Darkness but it’s supposed to be better, so perhaps that’s the way to go (if at all...).

Get Hybrid Heaven.
Also,both Fighter's Destiny games.
Mario Kart 64 still holds up well these days.

I loved Bomberman 64 and Bomberman Hero. Also look out for Rocket: Robot on Wheels. Developed by Sucker Punch before moving on to being with Sony.

Mystical Ninja 2/Goemon's Great Adventure is also good Seconding this one. Probably the best 2D platformer on the system (not that there were tons).

I think the N64 library of classics is pretty well established, since it's rather small. But I will mention two obvious ones.
F-Zero X is excellent (and holds up a lot better than F-Zero GX IMO).
Ocarina of Time > Majora's Mask. Both are worth playing, but if you're only gonna get one, OoT for sure.
Also, Mario Party 3 is the best multiplayer game on the system, IMO, and is actually pretty good single player as well.

I always found Pilotwings 64 to be a really underrated N64 gem.

Oh, one more since it's not mentioned: Paper Mario. What is wrong with everyone?

I...really didn't like Paper Mario that much, which is strange since I liked most of the other ones that came out. I think at the time I was still starving for a direct sequel to Mario RPG, so maybe that corrupted my expectations.
The Goemon games you should definitely play. I'd also argue for Bomberman 64 - the multiplayer is fairly meh but the single player campaign is a lot of fun.

It takes a little bit to get going, but by the time Chapter 1 ends, I was totally on board with it. Probably my second-favourite Mario RPG in general, after The Thousand Year Door.

Hey, if you were/are into Paper Mario more power to you. I really wish I enjoyed it more. Part of me wants to go back and see if I'd enjoy it more these days now that I've come to terms with the fact there won't be a direct sequel to Mario RPG.
That said, I LOVED Thousand Year Door and I actually really enjoyed Super Paper Mario.

I liked SPM too, but TDD gets major demerits for sticking an overly long and unskippable cutscene in the middle of the final boss fight. It's so great overall, but I could never stomach sitting through it repeatedly so I've had it sitting unfinished for nearly 15 years.
