Oh, Community POM! That game is great. Really, really loved it, and it absolutely deserves a spot on the list. Also has an excellent soundtrack, even if its overworld theme directly plagiarized the 1970s Delfonics song "La-La (Means I Love You)," of all things. Seriously.
Its boss theme also plagiarized Dragnet.
Very weird music plagiarism in that game. But a super-cute, super-fun game, regardless.
...Also, don't know why I thought of this all of a sudden, but to get back on topic, I have a WonderSwan Color game to suggest for your list! Bandai themselves made a Zelda-like game for the system called "Star Hearts." It's not very well-documented, but it's a pretty fun game that I would recommend to anyone who... happens to own a WonderSwan Color or SwanCrystal! All like, 2 of you.
One game I played a lot as a kid was the Game boy version of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? It’s a top down adventure game somewhere in between Zelda, Metal Gear and perhaps some old Sierra game? Hard to describe, but pretty fun!
