Ahem... and now... I present to you... the QUESTION. Be warned though:
-This tends to get very uncomfortable, so abandon all fear of being judged and be a free spirit on the topic. -Discuss the question without trying to insult the argueing side. -Please don't try to sound better than everyone else. Don't judge... don't insult... and don't be afraid to disagree. -Try to answer with "yes" or "no" before explaining. -I want honest answers.
So here it is... the question:
Do you think it is ok to find fictional characters attractive?

I find it perfectly OK. To truly appreciate beauty is to appreciate it in all its forms, even artificial beauty like a video game character. Just so long as you don't get too obsessive about it (like approximately 50% of the Sephiroth fangirls out there) it should be just fine.

I also find that perfectly OK.

I third that notion wit the slight warning that appreciation can become obsession.

Someone needs to post that part from the Genshiken manga/anime where Madarame pseudo-scientifically explains that people who aren't attracted to fictional characters are brain damaged.
I think I have it on my computer at home.

Personally, I hold myself to a higher standard, but other people can do what they want. Put me down for "totally OK".

I think it's ok to find them attractive, I don't think it's ok judge real people by fictional character standards.

If your mom was a fictional character then I'd still have no problem finding her attractive.

Lemme just get this straight for you: Fictional characters are always made to be attractive in some way. This goes double for villainous characters: you've got pretty-boys, femme fatales, men driven insane by their own hideous past, and women likewise. Whether it's a fascination with a scarred soul, or admiration for beauty, you can always count on the fact that it's not unusual to be attracted to a fictional character.

They don't make 'em so you'll be repulsed by them, so yeah, it's perfectly normal.
