All the tie-in games based on the Addams Family (in movie, serial or cartoon form), from the infamous Fester's Quest for NES to the smartphone app based on the recent animated movie. Just in time for Halloween!
My opinion is half of them could've been not only cult classics, but legitimately good games, if they weren't either so hard and frustrating or plagued by absurd design choices that make them barely playable. The others are just the usual licensed junk though.
(Randomness: don't ask me about The Munsters. Here nobody really knows about them and I found out they were a thing just a few years ago. I still prefer the Addams though)

I quite enjoyed this series of articles, though it's disappointing to learn that nearly every game was a stinker. There was probably a point in every article where I said "I'd like to give this a try," and then two paragraphs later, "...Maybe only a brief try."

Eh, I didn't want to be so harsh in my judgement, but when the flaws and poor design choices overwhelm any enjoyment from the good gameplay and graphics, it's hard to recommend them. As for the adventure game, maybe I'm biased against them since I never was a huge fan, but it's a perfectly serviceable and nice game, were it not for those terrible "arcade" sequences.

I remember the 16bit game was pretty highly praised back in the day on home computers, but for the life of me I never could grasp why. I guess even being from the UK, my preferences are more Japanese.

I guess even being from the UK, my preferences are more Japanese. Maybe because they were quite good compared to the usual Ocean crap? Or maybe because they were riding the movie's hype? Just an educated guess...

Computers were also a bit starved for quality platformers in the late 80s-early 90s.
