5. Kirby's Block Ball (Super Game Boy) One of the most fun and original Breakout-variants I've ever played and further proof that any genre benefits from the Kirby-treatment. Like all Kirby titles with Super Game Boy functionality it features some classy color palettes. One day, this game will be pulled from obscurity and be reappraised like Kirby's Dream Course. (Probably not, since nobody really cares about the GB library...) This is like Dream Course or Canvas Curse in the sense that they basically just put Kirby in place of the ball but still gave him copy abilities. They should do more of that.

I liked one of those but I forget if it was Block Ball or the other spinoff for GB.

One day, this game will be pulled from obscurity and be reappraised like Kirby's Dream Course. (Probably not, since nobody really cares about the GB library...) I got frustrated with Block Ball because it seemed like the only way to get the necessary scores in some of the stages was to get a perfect score with the bonus power-ups, and the Electric power was the only one that was worthwhile (except on the bosses). But such a slick package otherwise – and an absolutely jamming soundtrack.

Nice job with the list, looks good. Thank you, Spanky. That is kind of you to say. I am really not a natural when it comes to visual design, but I think it's an area I am improving in. On the ball suggestion from 🧀Son of Suzy Creamcheese🧀 - probably not the sort of ball you were thinking of, but my mind went to Kirby Katamari. Make it happen HAL/Bandai Namco.

ommadawnyawn2 - thanks for highlighting the thread on discord. It does seem to have gained a lot of clicks since I posted it so if people are reading the list that is the main thing I think. At least this way we can tric....err, I mean convince people into playing Q Boy.

The list is now up to date to reflect votes from jorphoHere's a few notes from the list: Kirby Planet Robobot is now in 2nd place, and only 1 point behind Kirby Super Star. Kirby's Adventure is the most voted for game being in four people's lists. It has no top place's, however. Kirby Super Star is the only game to top multiple lists. All mainline Kirby platformer's are now included in the list with the addition of The Amazing Mirror. Kirby Tilt N Tumble is the earliest game to not make the list. Other games missing include the Kirby Fighter's games and the cult classic Kirby's Air Ride. No visitors to this thread went on to play Q Boy.

This reminded me of the fact that I haven't even played 5 Kirby games and made me sad again we never got the Wii Collection T^T

No visitors to this thread went on to play Q Boy. There is no justice in this world.

I'd love to play Tilt N Tumble at some point. Did you know you can use the GB emulators on the 3DS and get the same experience you would have with the original cart? A missed opportunity for Nintendo there.
I don't think anyone's mentioned Canvas Curse/Power Paintbrush yet, or Rainbow Curse for that matter – but that's hardly surprising.

I kinda regret not having bought Kirby Air Ride back then, because it did not review too well on sites like IGN - I was young and naive. Nowadays I could see this being the perfect game for a quick, relaxing session. Prices for used copies seem ridiculously high these days.
