One poorly-supported but unique feature for the console are its extremely small handful of DS Virtual Console games, which are fairly well handled.

I just wish more games used the controller for local coop. Had an absolute blast with the multiplayer games on nintendoland. And the multiplayer of zombiu had a lot of potential. Would have been great to use with one player as a dungeon master.

Bargain shop for it now. Because in 15 years, you're going to see Wii U and Wii U accessories sky rocket in price. That's my opinion. Especially unique Wii U exclusives, that rely heavily on the control scheme. This is just a trend I've seen with Turbografx-16, Sega Saturn, Virtual Boy, Neo Geo, Neo Geo Pocket, etc. The systems that didn't sell well is going to find a niche of collectors who, once they come of age and income, begin snatching up what remains. No fucking kidding. I guarantee that within a decade or two, the Wii U will become the next Dreamcast or GameCube in being remembered as the best game system that failed to sell, and prices will just balloon. It has the Nintendo heritage, HD graphics, a small but solid library of mostly excellent titles and low sales numbers. It hits all three collectibility checkboxes of being desirable, rare and interesting. Even the prevalence of Switch ports probably won't hurt it, as plenty of Dreamcast games were ported to PS2/GameCube but it still holds its value. And, ya know, it also has Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, the greatest game of all time.

I definitely bought it but not played it.
