No prizes for guessing what thread I was going to make next as I look to compare 3rd party support on Nintendo home platforms. This time I'm looking for good Wii games that were neither developed nor published by Nintendo. For digital titles I will include Wiiware games but not Virtual Console. Please let me know what comes to mind.
List:
A Boy and His Blob Arc Rise Fantasia Bit Trip Series/Bit Trip Collection Blaster Master Overdrive De Blob De Blob 2 Boom Blox Series Castle Shikigami III Castlevania Rebirth Cave Story Contra Rebirth Cooking Mama World Kitchen Dead Space Extraction Dewey's Adventure DJ Hero Series Dokapon Kingdom Driift Mania Eledees Final Fantasy Fables Chocobo's Dungeon Final Fantasy My Life as a King Fragile Dreams Geometry Wars Galaxies Ghost Squad Gradius Rebirth Guitar Hero 3 Gunblade Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law Help Wanted/Job Island Klonoa Kororoinpa Kore Gang La-Mulana LIT Little King's Story Lostwinds Lostwinds 2 Madworld Mega Man 9 Mega Man 10 Monster Hunter Tri Muramasa Mushroom Men The Spore Wars NBA Jam No More Heroes No More Heroes 2 Octomania Opoona Order Up Rabbids Go Home Red Steel 2 Resident Evil 4 Rodea Rune Factory Frontier Rune Factory Tides of Destiny Samurai Warriors 3 Shiren the Wanderer Silent Hill: Shattered Memories Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces Sonic Colours Sonic Riders Zero Gravity Space Invaders Get Even Star Solider R Super Swing Golf Season 2 Tatsunoko vs Capcom Toki Tori Trauma Centre New Blood Tranma Centre Second Opinion Trauma Team World of Goo Zack & Wiki

Because I just played them - Mega Man 9 and 10.
I've never played them but people seemed to really like the Konami Rebirth games. Castlevania, Contra and Gradius...I think?

The Bit.Trip series Cave Story Cooking Mama: World Kitchen - but not the first one, Cook Off. DJ Hero and the sequel Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus Guitar Hero III - still predates Activision driving the series into the ground Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law - A little more on the "for the fans" end, but an official AA clone was too obvious to not happen LIT Monster Hunter Tri Resident Evil 4 World of Goo
Not a game, but to this day the Netflix app for Wii is the best one, even the crappy "updated" version from later on.

retr0gamer covered most I would said. I especially second No More Heroes, Little King Story, Trauma Center titles in particular. My additions: Castle Shikigami III Help Wanted Octomania Order Up Rabbids Go Home (not a minigame collection!) Rodea (have to buy the Wii U version to own this. I wish for a remaster!) Rune Factory Frontier and Tides of Destiny Samurai Warriors 3 Sonic Riders Zero Gravity Super Swing Golf Season 2 (first is probably good too but I played this one) Sky Crawlers

Because I just played them - Mega Man 9 and 10. I've never played them but people seemed to really like the Konami Rebirth games. Castlevania, Contra and Gradius...I think? Never owned a Wii myself. But I have played Castlevania Rebirth... and almost certainly Contra Rebirth.
The latter basically feels like a direct successor to Super Probontra III - The Alien Spirits. It's solid - probably...
Castlevania The Adventure Rebirth, on the other hand, is a weird amalgamation of many Classicvanias: Some Bloodlines music here, some Rondo sprites there and only occasionally minor bits of the original The Adventure. It still manages to have it's own visual style by being uncharacteristically bright and colourful, even more so than either SNES game. But gameplay-wise it doesn't bring much new to the table and it's a shame it doesn't utilize some of the more unique design elements from the Game Boy games. It's also one of the easier and shorter Castlevania entries, so compared to Super IV, Bloodlines and Rondo it can fell slightly underwhelming - but only by Castlevania standards. It still remains very enjoyable in its own right.

Any chance we'll be seeing other Nintendo system good 3rd party games list soon? I have one more I will do next week - Wii U. I already did N64 and Gamecube. Links below if you missed them. hg101.proboards.com/thread/14921/good-3rd-party-n64-gameshg101.proboards.com/thread/14924/good-3rd-party-gamecube-gamesYourself and retr0gamer I'm afraid did fall into the first party trap this week (no worries - I don't really expect everyone to know who published what with every game). Specifically The Last Story, Pandora's Tower and Endless Ocean series are all Nintendo owned/published, though they are developed by third parties. I do think Endless Ocean is always worth a plug though, since the second is one of the best games on the platform. Pandora's Tower is great too. One day I will get around to playing The Last Story. Thanks for all the answers though guys. I will list them on the OP later today. spanky - The rebirth series is pretty much all as windfisch said about Castlevania Rebirth. They're solid, enjoyable entries but don't bring much new to the table. I have a few that come to mind: Star Solider R - It's pretty much just a caravan mode, but a nice return of the series. I enjoyed it a great deal. Kororinpa Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon NBA Jam Geometry Wars Galaxies

Everything that comes to my mind has already been mentioned, except for a little-known Wiiware title called Driift Mania. It's a fun top-down racer, but I've mostly played it in multiplayer so I don't know how worthwile it is to play alone.

I remember playing the oldies such as Nitro, Super Sprint and of course Off Road. I do suspect you are correct and they are multi player reliant though. I haven't found a modern game to put that to the test. _____ Added a couple more to the list - Toki Tori and La-Mulana.
