For years I play PC games on a computer monitor but a few years ago I figured out how to connect it on a HDTV. It's a lot better too I suppose. Currently playing the Disney Afternoon Collection from Steam right now. (Capcom should release a physical copy of the collection.)

That's my current set up. I just have a desktop HDMI'd to the TV. For me, it was much preferred to play AM2R and Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth this way.

It's so much easier now than it used to be now that everything uses HDMI. It's also just DVI plus audio so a cheap adapter can drag forward systems that are pretty old too. I mainly go in the opposite direction, I have my Switch connected to my external monitor, but I did in pre-HD days a lot more and it was such a pain. I had to get some very specific ATI card for component output to connect to the family TV. I didn't even really care about composite vs. S-Video vs. component output; that was the only thing that was free. I did use a micro-ATX case with a handle so it was like having an oversized GameCube.

Not on the primary desktops, but one of my laptop docking stations is connected to a TV, and I sometimes play games on laptops that are connected to it.
