I haven't really posted here all that much recently, because I don't have much things to say like I used to. So my apologies if I've been mostly lurking in recent years. Anyways, do you know of any games that had some dark comedic elements? One that always comes to mind for me is the ending of Usas for the MSX. The music sounds so happy and cheerful, but if you know Japanese, you would know that Wit & Cles died.

Little King's Story is like this. There's a great contrast with the artwork at play which presents a warm child friendly vibe but there's an undercurrent of classism. Also a lot of jabs at the expense of the subjects who are basically seen as a means to an end - nicely mirroring the gameplay where a lost unit is easily replaced by a new one washing up on shore.

I think the Easter egg in Maniac Mansion where you can blow up Weird Ed's hamster in a microwave and have him murder you if you show him the remains probably counts.

I'm not sure what you mean exactly, but there's a Parodius game that ends with our heroes opening a treasure box after defeating the final boss, and finding a humanoid cartoon bomb that blows up killing everyone. IIRC the credits even scroll over the debris of the space station and the characters' lifeless bodies!

It feels the "dark comedic elements" is a very broad definition. Are we including anything that might be seen as a sad / clearly negative turn of events, delivered in a comedic way? The ending of Simon the Sorcerer II, where the hero and the villain exchange bodies, leaving the hero trapped and the villain free to roam the world comes to mind. Simon games in general are riddled with twisted humor, but not so much of it is actually dark.

Might not fully fit your description, but I found the "Portal" games pretty dark. You are clearly in a terrifying situation with murderous traps and a merciless antagonist, but the dialogue is still incredibly funny.
