Can anyone please tell me the list of differences between the single and 2 player versions? Here are some videos of the game in 2 player mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
This entry in the Kunio-kun series looks really cool. River City Ransom, SNES style.

No but I can tell you I liked Tachi no Banka more. This one was kinda boring and not as snappy, although I didn't play that far into it.

Story is essentially the same, but you get 2-player dialogue. Its' been a while since I played it, but if you're if there are 2 different 2-player modes, one mode allows for "friendly fire" damage. The other mode, you don't hurt each other.
The game is basically 16-bit River City Ransom. But your stats and additional skills are gained via level-up and experience points, along with equipping items. The shopping aspect is pretty much, cut-out. I enjoyed it, and it's a reasonable length at about 10-12 hours of play time.

Thanks, Snake. The next thing I wish I knew was how to obtain some of the items, weapons, and equipment. As well as which enemies are known to drop specific stuff, and how many prepaid cash cards I can carry.
From what I can gather, the best ones are the Kaiser Knuckle, the Nue Lining, and the Enamel Shoes. The first one can be obtained by defeating a man named Nakanishi in Koshien. The second one can be obtained from playing the Item Catcher at the Game Center. The third one can be obtained from defeating a man named Yufune wearing brown pants at Koshien. Finally, make sure the one you want to get a particular item from is the last one you defeat.

I was so excited to find a "River City Ransom 2" when scrounging through ROM sites back in the day. I found this one pretty sluggish to play and confusing due to not having a full translation.
It does look like there's a full translation nowadays...maybe I should give it a shot.
