I'm Hollow. I find it funny I'd run into Kalata again, I just came here because Isao is here though.
I draw stuff and mostly like vidjagames but they have to be old ones. I'm not one for the newer games as of late, I think they suck. I'm the type that doesn't see what the big deal is about NEW GRAFIX and consoles connecting to the interweb. You know, one of those.
I used to like Castlevania before IGA touched it with his greasy palms, I used to like Megaman before Inafune got a hard-on for Zero, I used to like Resident Evil before they made it third person, I used to like Zelda before Link was "badass" (how can a mute be badass), I used to like Treasure while they were still with Konami...lots of things are aliennnn to me now
Now I just play Phoenix Wright, Pokemans, and if another Breath of Fire comes out I'll be playing that as well. Maybe DQ as well, dunno

I should probably post here.
I'm Strider. I wrote the Tyrian and Ether Vapor articles, and I've been reading HG101 regularly for the past year or so and I've just recently actually gotten around to watching the forums.
I used to be a big RPG fan, but increasingly simply don't have the time for it. I like all sorts of games, but I mostly play shooters these days (despite not being terribly good at them). I download and play wierd obscure indie games as sort of a mini-hobby.
Also, I hate writing about myself.

Hi there. I'm TheThird....I've been reading and loving this site for months before I finally figured out to join the forums. I'm a young Canadian gamer who's been playings since I can remember. Not a big fan of turn-based strategy games (cept' for Advance Wars) or most RPGs. I love beat em ups, shumps, fighters, action, all that stuff Big Nintendo fan, and Metroid is my fave franchise. I hope to contribute to the site sometime soon! |

I'm Brew - a 20 year old Fine Art (painting) student with an obsession for music, collecting vinyl and playing video games. I also play bass guitar in an old-skool black metal band.
I enjoy watching Star Trek (anything but Enterprise) and my gaming platforms are the good ol' PC, PS2 and Nintendo DS Lite. I like playing a range of games with my favourite genres being RPG, RTS and FPS.

well then welcome all! I just joined after listening to HG101 podcast 3. I found the site a whiiiiile back when I was looking stuff up on Ys. Obviously I fell in love witht he amazing article on the site but for some reason I had assumed it was just a fan site, not a whole endaevour.... (spelling? :/) So I'm 27 (28 in June.........shit), French. I moved to NYC about 4 years ago. Married to my beautiful wife Sara. I got into games with the NES back in 86-87 my first games were Kung Fu, Mario, Zelda and Castlevania and TMNT. since then NES, MS, GB, GG, MD, Mega CD, 32X, PSX, N64, DC, PS2, Xbox, GC, 360, Wii......phew I play on both consoles and PC I'm not a fanboy (we don't have those in France  ) I play games for games and nothing else.........Except maybe the soundtrack (that's how I got into Ys) My favorites types are RPGs, FPS, Adventure, Action-adventure, Platform, fighting (with frined only) I suck at shooters and old chool platfromers....... Favorite composer is probably Mitsuda. but i don't discirminate. favortie soundtracks are American McGee's Alice, Deus Ex, Kid Icarus, Kourney to Silius, Chrono Cross, Ys of course, Shin Megami Tensei 3, Persona 3 of course a bunch of FF and Gensou Suikoden. favorite RPG is XENOGEARS!! play it, love it, cherish it! worship it! and I thin i'll stop here otherwise it'll be 3 pages cheers! |
