Not sure how many of you have played this one, considering Ufouria seems to have only been released in English for PAL audiences - but I was referred to this game by a friend at another forum and decided to grab a rom file.
The soundtrack is actually quite good, and despite my initial assumptions, it doesn't seem to use any special sound chips. Pretty impressive...the first stage is likely to stick in my head just as well as Mario's, I think.

It's like they sound more advanced than they actually are. An album containing music to the Hebereke games was posted over at Slightly Dark recently, if your still interested..... www.slightlydark.com/gamemusic/album_TH.php

The Japanese music (Hebereke) sounds awesome indeed. Many of Sunsoft's NES games kicked ass in the sound and music department.
However... the music in the PAL release (Ufouria) sounds real... well, "evil." Sounds quite ominous for a cute-looking game. Is it supposed to be like this?

Hmm, I'll have to compare the two...I've only ever heard Ufouria's before.

I have some nesticle save states from 2001... it would seem that I got to some unbreakable barrier and gave up, after, I imagine, not wanting to saunter about randomly looking for whatever it is I'm supposed to be doing. Even less so now, as I recall nothing of the environment, and am no less tolerant of the speed.

I loved this game until I accidentally died, then found out I was back to 10 health at the beginning.
Haven't touched it since.

haha, this game is great. I have a spin-off version of a puzzle game with the same characters used in it for the Saturn . I think it is popoitto hebereke's. >_<
