Does anyone recognize this tune? I can't place it.

After harassing everyone in the IRC channel I figured I'd increase my chances of success, so I post this mystery song here:

This is an NES covertune. I found a whole bunch of em from 2a03.org. This one's tormenting me, though. I just can't place it! It's might be a medley. Sounds Castlevania-ish in my opinion. Despite it being made with NES sounds it is not limited to that platform-- could be from any game from any system.

If it sounds familiar to you let me know! Thanks, all. Yer my only hope.

I can't get it to play off of that site - is there anywhere else you could post it by any chance? Or, alternatively, if this came from 2a03, what's the file name of the original NSF file?

thanks for the heads up wildweasel. that site's a pain to mess with so i'm not surprised it doesn't work. I'll tell you all the file name/song name when I get a chance.

edit: well, I just went through 1000 songs and can't find it. That mp3 is the only evidence it ever existed, because the real song vanaished into an alternate dimension apparently. So, sorry about the problem of the song not working. All I can recommend is trying another browser. Although, don't worry bout it.

Thanks a million, discoalucard! Whew... I was about to search for that song again, too. Crisis averted. Man, I knew it was from a 2D Konami game; or 3D if you count those mind-blowing (i.e. crappy) mode 7 levels. Now I can rest in peace.
