I may have put that in a strange way. The idea is that are there any video games songs that for some reason or other, you associate to other things? I have a few.
I always associate the Puzzle Bobble Theme to the drive-in theater since I played the arcade machine so much there. Whenever I hear the song I think of the Drive-in.
I always associate the Chocobo Theme to the Virtual Boy System. The reason for this is that I got addicted to the song and listened to it on a loop while waiting for my Virtual Boy to arrive in the mail.
This last one is strange. In the haunted house stage in Pumpkin Zone in Mario Land 2, the song there always represents slowness, and I sing it whenever we're driving slowly, walking slowly, having slow internet, but mainly only when I'm impatient about something being slow.
The reason for this is strange. In between bits of the song, there are little pauses. My brother and I always said a stupid word during those pauses to be funny. Eventually it was always "Bob's"
There was a restaurant in this small town where my Grandma used to live called "Bob's" It had extremely slow service and the food was sub par, but it was the only restaurant in town . While we were waiting for the food, I started singing the song and saying "Bob's" in the pauses. My brother and I laughed at that, and after that, the song became associated with slowness. Odd how some of these things work isn't it?

I work in retail, so when customers ask me really inane or just STRANGE questions, they tend to have this blank look in their eyes, so I imagine that the underworld theme from Super Mario Bros. is playing in their head in an endless loop

The Summers theme from Earthbound has had a profound effect on nearly all of my trips to the beach. It keeps going through my head whenever I'm in close proximity.

Whenever I'm out wandering at dusk or night, I like to think of the music "Sweet Relief" from Killer 7. I'm not on a mission or anything, but I always get the feeling that I have some purpose to be out and about when, in reality, I'm just walking for leisure and exercise. When I'm out doing the same in the daytime, I think of "Oxygen Graffiti" from No More Heroes. What can I say, I REALLY like Masafumi Takada. When I'm wandering inside a building, I often think of "Monochrome" from Hotel Dusk. Y'know, that muzak-style tune that plays when you're in control of Kyle? Occasionally, I think of "Easy Feeling" from the same soundtrack. ... crap, I know there's more. I'll letcha know as I think of them.

I think in reverse: whenever I listen to the Rush albums 2112 and Permanent Waves, I think of Flashback (Genesis version) and Super Empire Strikes Back, respectively.

I know this is probably pretty obvious, but whenever I'm packing/unpacking things, or moving boxes around at work, I inevitably start humming the music from the gameboy version of Tetris.
and when I was younger, I'd hum the music from Pressure Cooker constantly, and for no good reason.
and for some reason, "Magic Carpet Ride" by Steppenwolf, and Asteroids have permanently linked in my brain, I've now completely forgotten how or why.

and when I was younger, I'd hum the music from Pressure Cooker constantly, and for no good reason. Why not? It's so damn catchy I could start humming it right now! And this is probably more intentional, but my mind has been switching - quite seamlessly - between Robo's Theme from Chrono Trigger and Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up. The two songs are so similar.

For some unusual reason, Alundra's "The Village of Inoa" and Xenogears' "The Valley Where Wind is Born" remind me of the Price is Right theme (Ultra Gameplayers seems to agree with me on the first one).
And while I'm still on the subject of "music that reminds me of game show music because I'm a complete weirdo," while the arcade version of Magic Sword had epic credits music, the SNES port had credits music that reminds me of the reprise of some game show. This made me think that Magic Sword was nothing more than a game show where the challenges include fighting space worms, angry dogs, and Easter Island statues, and the fabulous prizes included instant lobster dinners, coins the size of you, and homosexual lizardman spouses.

Hey I'm from Canada too! Me and my bro also do shit like that... Like the song for Sigma in X 5 (the one where he's in the white suit) reminds me of rapists and just creepy guys. We used to call Sigma a "Goge" during the song because of Gogandantess from Onimusha 2 and then we would call him a "sexual" and stuff like that.
Also the intro to DBZ Budokai 3 plays while I run (?) to do something important.
On long walks I play overworld songs from RPGs, and at dances I just play Cipher from KOF 98 instead of the shitty stuff they're actually playing.
I always associate Storm Eagle's theme with Big Garages (some children's show) because we played the game right after watching the show at my babysitters back then. I would yell "BIG BIG BIG GARAGE" right before the decrescendo thing with the bridge to the intro.
So much more... but damn it would take all day.

When I'm taking a test or when the pressure's on me otherwise, that Geese Howard theme plays in my head.
