So how's about we switch this board to invisionfree. Sure proboards is free (so is invisionfree) but it's ugly as hell and very confusing to use.

Most of the "ugly as hell" comes from my inability to set color schemes properly.
I'll look into it though. I think that may have been one I looked at initially, I can't remember.

It's also easier to quote on Invisionfree, something I like very much to do.

If you use Invisionfree, there's a place where you can get custom templates and such to use - the Invisionfree Skin Zone. So if you wanted a different color scheme or template or whatever, this is a good thing to look at.

I could probably set the entire thing up in under a day. I've had a few invisionfree boards in my time. It'd also be easy to re-register everyone

I actually think phpBB is the best out there, but I think it's harder to customize too.

I don't really like phpBB's interface. Plus it has a pretty bad reputation for security holes (there hasn't been a single phpBB forum I've registered on that hasn't had a gigantic influx of Russian spam bots).

Well wether or not it was my decision i just got to screwing around with invisionfree. We can keep the black layout and the cat (Potentially) with an easier interface for users

phpBB isn't safe at all, I recently lost a forum I adminned with someone that used phpBB, it always had bots joining as well as threats from things called Funtklakow. This Funt entity is known to be a phpBB board killer, and I'm thinking that's exactly what killed Skeleton Manor (sort of a CV/ misc. type forum).

This forum rocks. Why change it?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it
I won't complain if the forum does change, but why bother updating it when the forum works fine as is?

Outside of maybe a color change I can't complain.

If you do change the colors, please keep them light on dark for pragmatic reasons: It's better on the eyes.

New reason to switch: Private Message, for those things you only wanna disclose to someone specific, but can't send email or IM.
