I've got a Metal Gear jones at the moment. Does anyone know how I can obtain any of the series' soundtracks? In particular, I'm most interested in acquiring the music from the MSX games.

... so... no one could find anything for the MSX Metal Gear soundtracks? I don't see them on Galbadia Hotel, and I have no idea how popular MSX sound is for listening...

Look for the Kojima Red/Black Disc. There were two CDs, a Black and a Red, and one of them contains the entire MSX soundtrack for MG1 and MG2 (save maybe one song or two). I can't remember which one it was, but I've got one of them on my HD right now (friend has the actual Black disc) and it's all classic music.
ALSO: There was a special disc included in the MGS1 premium package that featured a few of the older songs. Might want to try that.

The Kojima Red Disc, I think, is actually half arranged MG2 music and a few OST songs included. (Where I downloaded it from, though, they called it the "Solid Snake Red Disc".)

The Red Disc has some cool stuff, but I can't find the MSX originals.

The Black Disc is actually stuff from Snatcher/Policenauts as opposed to Metal Gear. It's a collection of OST and arranged stuff, like the Red Disc.
I know there's an OST to Metal Gear 2 floating around but Galbadia may not have it. I'm PRETTY sure it came with the LE pack of the original Metal Gear Solid or something crazy like that.
Otherwise, your best bet would be to grab a KSS plugin for Winamp and see if you can dig up the KSS music files. They work the same way as SPC, NSF, etc.
