The coin and start buttons should configure like any other button.

Meh, I can use 5 and 1. I'll try it but it doesn't make much of a difference anyhow.

Every Arcade emulator uses the 5 for coins and 1 for start.

Call me pedantic, but it hasn't always been like that. I've seen some emulators use the function-keys instead (Retrocade may have been one of them, I'm not positive), and some earlier versions of MAME used 3 for coins instead of 5, prior to the wide emulation of 3- and 4-player games.
Though with massive games like Konami's 6-player X-Men game, I wonder if that's going to change again, or if they'll just move the 5th and 6th players' coin keys over somewhere else by default?
