i swear no matter how many times I promote my site I never seem to get any more comments Don't write for the readers. Write for yourself. Blaugh hardly gets an average of 0.5 comments per post, by my reckoning, compared to (just pulling this out of the air here) the Mecha Fetus Visu Blog, which gets probably 7 per post from readers that find their way through from Pirate Baby or Kings of Power.

^ Exactly. Sure, you want to cater to a certain audience, but ultimately, your site (blog or not) should be something you love to visit at the end of a long night. Do what you want to see first and foremost, the rest is optional.
As the song goes, never do it for the glory.

My turn!
The site in my sig is about an old PC game series. The 1st game was distributed by Apogee back in the day, so if you're a PC gamer, chances are you've played it.
There was also a sequel (Which, unlike the 1st game, seems to be true abandonware, as despite some hints awhile back, nothing new for the franchise seems to be on the horizon. The 1st game is now freeware by the way).
Anyway, that's my site. I have a few others, but my game website is the only one I work on these days. Like most, I haven't updated for a bit.

I never reply to blogs because I honestly never know what to sy. Same here, other than the "WOO I AGREE!" or "WOO! I DON'T AGREE!" but I really don't want to be one of those people. Okay. I draw comics. It is autobiographical and about being Palestinian in an "I hate Ay-rabs" kind of America. hookah-girl.margoyle.netSo far, I seem to be the only person on this board who doesn't have a video game-based creative output. If that seems bo-ring, please avert your eyes.

If Ay-rabs is racist, is bo-ring too? I honestly thought it was about a gangsta prostitute or something so I never checked it out. I will now

So far, I seem to be the only person on this board who doesn't have a video game-based creative output... Actually, I'm also a musician, thought that's been kind of stagnant as of late, what with work taking up so much of my time. I've also been part of a remixing community for a while now, ccmixter.org/people/jaspertineI used to write short stories, and had a blog about philosophy and such, but nothing much ever came of it. cool comic btw

Okay, I guess I'll promote something of mine that's videogame-related, sort of... some of have said it borders on fanfiction, but it's definitely not. I call it The Chronicles of the Raven. z4.invisionfree.com/The_Third_Moon/index.php?showforum=99Basically, it's a story series I've been working on ever since 2000. Currently it's set in the same universe as Strider, but by the time Book I is over, 98% of the videogame references in the series (not just Strider, but also Gradius, Run Saber, Cannon Dancer and Splatterhouse) will be gone and we'll be moving into completely original territory. But don't just listen to me about it... sotenga and Allen probably have something to say about it too.

I've been amazed by everything I've read so far. The only thing I disliked was a reference to buttonmashing that felt a little too outta place. That is ALL. So seriously read read read.
Oh yeah and more hype.

It wasn't you, it was in Damnation... so that'd be Scion. He basically said something was faster than someone shooting in continuously in Megaman. Only better written and much less drawn out.

Yeah, that sounds like a throwaway bit from Damnation. No worries. After that story, references like that cease to exist. We were still kind of treating the series as a joke when that was written, just so you know. That's how it all started, as a big joke. Seriously.
