That's a pretty badass joke! Whatever, as a joke its good so I can only see it getting better. I'll read some tonight after I see The Dark Night, so I'll be in the badass mood.

If Ay-rabs is racist, is bo-ring too? I honestly thought it was about a gangsta prostitute or something so I never checked it out. I will now I am very interested how (I'm assuming) the title read as a "gangsta prostitute" kind of deal. I'm not being sarcastic! But at any rate, I'm glad my comic is not considered a Waste of Virtual Space. That'd be pretty bad, when there's stuff like hampsterdance.com to contend with. Jave: I hope you continue making music! Totally understand the lack of time thing. But you gotta keep up the faith!

Hooker=Hookah if you put on a bad gangsta impersonation. Well I can't say that all "gangsta" speak like that. At all. Since I know ones that don't. But I'm refering to the whole stereotypical deal. And well a girl is a girl. So y'know. Plus it was a joke. Therefor.

Well, to be fair, by the time I finished the first two arcs it wasn't really a joke anymore (and the joke stuff is one reason it's taking so long to edit those two original arcs... that, and that we keep working on the new stuff). But certain joke-ish elements slipped in to a couple of the later stories, like the one you mentioned. In fact, if you ever want to find out the real story behind the series, let me just refer you here: z4.invisionfree.com/The_Third_Moon/index.php?showtopic=4879

So far, I seem to be the only person on this board who doesn't have a video game-based creative output. I didn't notice that before, but...hmmm. I have a few non-VG related projects aside from (and taking precedence over) 8EB, but a VG message board probably isn't the place to be like HAY GUYS WANNA READ SOME OF MY POETRY :D

I never reply to blogs because I honestly never know what to sy. Same here, other than the "WOO I AGREE!" or "WOO! I DON'T AGREE!" but I really don't want to be one of those people. Okay. I draw comics. It is autobiographical and about being Palestinian in an "I hate Ay-rabs" kind of America. hookah-girl.margoyle.netSo far, I seem to be the only person on this board who doesn't have a video game-based creative output. If that seems bo-ring, please avert your eyes. Interesting comic Margoyle. I enjoyed the little samples, and can totally relate being from the middle eastern culture myself. I commend you for doing that ^^ Anyway quick little plug of my own. Oki doke, here's a drawing I made on the computer a few years ago with crappy filters applied and whatnot-- I actually know how to work with ink and other traditional media, though, and yes I can draw correct anatomy and draw from life images but prefer not too. I've been secretly popping in at margoyle's site off and on but never said anything about it, since there's been no appropriate place to do so. Your stuff is excellent-- great drawing, socially conscious, smart and entertaining. Maybe someday I'll enter comic-land but for now my ambition is zero and my motivation is negative zero. Ah well. img260.imageshack.us/img260/3164/sittinguy2ft5.pngWe're a cool crowd when it comes to games, and it's thanks to this thread we know we're cool all around

I have a few non-VG related projects aside from (and taking precedence over) 8EB, but a VG message board probably isn't the place to be like HAY GUYS WANNA READ SOME OF MY POETRY :D Oh, yeah, you're totally right about that. I'm only referring to this particular thread. Though I do enjoy hearing about everyone's intellectual pursuits as well! Elazul: I totally hear that rant. Made me reminisce my old Honeybaked Ham days. Would come home smelling like ham + glaze and dogs would follow me. Mmmmnnnmmmmm. Drake: Thanks, guy! So far, the reaction I get from anyone near or middle eastern regarding the comic is positive, which is really great and really makes me happy. And your site is quite thorough... Very happy you guys gave Celebrity Deathmatch of 2. There is good in this world. gamingjustin: No need to add disclaimers how you can draw anatomically correct and whatnot, it's pretty obvious by looking at your piece. I don't know if I agree with the halftone + red background but the drawing itself (and coloring) is quite good. And thanks so much for checking out my comic. If you're thinking of getting into it, I have a little bit to add: The work is hard as hell, if you're lucky you'll break even, and you won't get much respect, but if you love comics it's the most freaking amazing thing in the world.

I contributed greatly to the Home Action Replay Page (mainly by adding a majority of various system catalogs), a site where you can submit replays for thousands of console, handheld, and classic computer games. It is a spin-off of the MAME Action Replay Page, a long-running site (since 1998, when MAME featured a recording function) where people submit replays for the thousands of arcade titles emulated in MAME.

Oh hey, I haven't posted in this thread yet. I have a blog, but so does everyone these days, and it's just a 'personal' blog. I try to be entertaining and I do write about video games a lot, but it's not particularly interesting. I've gotta start doing cooler stuff to keep up with you guys. :V - HC

I saw a skit on TV a few months ago about how no one actually reads anyone else's blogs because they're all too busy updating their own. I frequently get the feeling that I'm the only person who ever looks at my blog, so I can relate.
Oh, and the cartoon was hilarious. As a non-working writer, I'm all too familiar with the kind of BS that so easily swoons people who think themselves smarter than they actually are, and yes, it is a much bigger problem in literature than it is in science. Even I'm fooled on occasion. Though I might be getting a very different message out of it than others.

My LivejournalProbably not very interesting, but outside this site, it's where I am seen most often talking/writing/whatever. Mostly nerdy updates, updates while drunk, discussion of tits, occasional spouts of gender confusion, swearing, and oh shit I'm fucking with HTML oh your friends page is dead now my bad sorry about that. Warning: May contain lesbians and peanuts.
