Never finished? Meaning just the ports and the "sequels"? Or are there any other games that I am not aware of?

Well, it's mostly finished now. I don't remember which parts I wrote and which I didn't, but all of the main Kunio games are covered.

Here's a trailer for the new 3DS remake of Kunio-kun by Arc-System. It looks awesome honestly.

Plunked down an alarmingly large sum for the new River City Tokyo Rumble recently. I gotta say, it was definitely not worth the price. More of a budget game, really, albeit one made with some care.
Also, maybe we'll finally see that River City Ransom Underground game this year, but I wouldn't be too hopeful.

Greetings. Decades ago Kurt and I, along with others worked on the article for the Kunio-kun series. Part of the reason why it's incomplete has to do with my lack of experience and immaturity. I also had no knowledge of the Japanese language (but by playing games in the series I managed to learn how to read the hiragana table at least) and didn't really play or beat much of the games, mostly the ports. Recently I've decided to do a personal project on boredom, which is to get as much information on the Kunio-kun series as possible. Most of the information on the franchise on the internet can be found on Japanese sites but I'd like it if we had these information in english somewhere. I thought it would be a good idea now that I am getting back to the series again to make the article better. The community here can help me as well and add themselves to the article. I'd like for the characters to be added to the article as they are introduced and maybe overhaul it so that the games are in release order. We can also add some trivia found in some Japanese sites. There is very little information about Technos and the people involved with the franchise and we should add that as well. However, the most important thing here is that I need someone who knows the Japanese language better than I do, I've been translating the names of some of the characters who are not Japanese in the series and Google Translate is not as helpful as I want it to be (thankfully Johnny Undaunted took care of this years ago as well as some others on GameFAQs). There are going to be some other problems with this project, which is the reason why I need help from everyone here. I have a full time job these days, which means that I can only dedicate time to this on some weekends but I can work a little on weekdays after I get home from work. I am also in Puerto Rico and as most of you know we were hit by hurricane María some four months ago, which means I have sporadic access to the internet at home. I do have internet at work and plan to be in contact with whoever wants to help me as much as possible. I will update this post with more information soon so that I can ask for proper information. Edit: Here's the update I mentioned a few days ago. I'd like for someone with knowledge of the Japanese language to translate some of the information found on this page: which appears to tell some of the history of the Kunio-kun series from Yoshihisa Kishimoto, who created the original game. This post and and this thread have great information that can be added to the article and the Japanese Wikipedia page of the series and its games also has good information. Currently I am still doing research for the series. I am making a shrine for the series as a personal project to one day include it online. I've been looking for information for the two developers who worked on Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari/River City Ransom but can't really find much about them. Finally, I apologize for saying that Renegade is not very good. Like I mentioned previously I was immature and didn't really dedicate much time to either version of the game, though right now I am playing it a lot. I am currently working on mapping out the Stage 4 mazes of the NES version of Renegade, which are different for each difficulty level. Also, someone want to give me some strategies to beat Misuzu on the arcade version? I am currently stuck there. Thanks Kurt, for giving me the opportunity to work on the Kunio-kun article all those years ago. It's great to see the article show up when one does a Google search, now it's just a matter of making it better.

New face around, but been visiting HG101 for many years.
I noted a while ago that the article on the Kunio-kin series is not around anymore.
Is this on purpose or some mistake??
With all the 3DS Kunio games that were released on the recent years it would be cool if the article can be updated, but I understand it requires lot of effort. I have the 3Ds games in case you want me to take some picture to the manual or box or something.
Cheers.

Have you guys watched the gameplay videos for the new Kunio game called River City Girls?? It’s a weird mix between westernized environment with some Japanese characters/names... And the main characters are Misako and Kyoko from the Sfamicom Kunio Tachi no Banka. What’s even more weird, is how they ALSO added the OTHER Riki girlfriend Mami and Kunio’s “kind of” Hasebe... so you have a mix between two Kunio world; the Downtown series, and the Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-jyn series. Yes, it’s the same character, but slight differences: on the downtown series outside the original downwitn nekketsu monkgatari, Kunio is the only one wearing white uniform while all the others wear purple. There’s a YouTube channel of a guy called 920kun, he changed the name of the channel to 熱血高校 and he’s one of the makers of the fan game Kakutou Densetsu 格闘伝説 for pc, which have tons of more stages and tons of new characters/classes. Can’t confirm but I think he is one ex Technos or ex Million developer... on his YouTube channel he usually plays Kunio fan games and Kunio/doble dragon related stuff. Give it a look, you could find some interesting stuff to add to the Kunio article. Edit: the link to his channel: m.youtube.com/user/920kun/videos
